A small 10g glass jar of Essano Rosehip Night Creme was included in the Essano Rosehip Treat Your Skin pack that I bought.
The little frosted glass jar has a black plastic screw top lid and the base of the jar is quite solid and sturdy. Rich in skin-renewing certified organic Rosehip Oil, with organic Aloe Vera, Jojoba and Shea Butter, this white coloured night cream has a smooth consistency with a subtle rose scent. The cream feels quite 'wet' when its initially applied to the skin but this allows you to give your face, neck and décolleté a light massage while the cream is being absorbed.
The jar does say that this night creme is suitable for all skin types but my oily skin did not like it at all! I found Essano Rosehip Night Creme to be far too rich and deeply moisturising for my skin type and I felt quite oily the next morning. After a few nights of use, it actually caused me to break out with a 'rash' of milia under my chin and across my forehead. Thankfully, these went away on their own a few days after I stopped using the cream.
I'm glad that I bought the sample pack, as I would have been extremely disappointed if I'd bought a full sized bottle of this.
Would I recommend it? I'd suggest purchasing the Treat Your Skin pack first (to see if you like the products) before purchasing full sized bottles. Would I purchase it again? No.
I bought this because I could get it at the supermarket when I didn't have time to get to Lush to buy my usual night cream. It has more packaging than it really needs around the jar but it does make it look elegant on the shelf. Once it is unpackaged the actual product jar is serviceable but still looks pretty on the counter top. I love the smell but my skin feels like it could use a little more moisture right after I put it on. That said my skin is looking really good and the few sun marks on my face seem to be fading since I started using it. The instructions do say to layer the night cream over rosehip oil so that may be why it isn't heavy. Or maybe my skin is just getting drier!
