When I placed an order at Mecca Cosmetica online a few weeks ago, they offered me some samples. This was one of the samples I chose. I hadn't ever tried any of Nars' skincare and hadn't heard anything about it, so I was anxious to see how this would fare.
As I got a sample of this (in a foil packet), I can't comment on the packaging. The foil sample gave me 4 applications of this and I used it in the morning.
Because my skin is dry I make sure I exfoliate at least twice a week. As gross as it sounds, I like to ensure that the dry skin on my face is removed so that when I piut moisturiser on, it is really, really hydrating my skin.
This has fine granules that definitely Slough off any dead skin. This isn't overly harsh but I am not sure I would recommend it to those with sensitive skin as they might find this too coarse. Personally I really like it as the granules are really packed into the gel. This rinses off easily and doesn't have any scent.
I noticed that each time after I used this my skin felt baby bum soft and looked brighter and fresher. I really wanted to dislike this because the price point hurts my wallet... But unfortunately for my bank account this worked really well on my skin.
As for if I would recommend it to friends... Yes and no. I wouldn't recom it to people with sensitive skin or those who like a super gentle exfoliant. Like I said above this isn't super rough but it might not be good for those who don't like a rough exfoliator. Also, the price is fairly steep for an exfoliator - even though I imagine that this would last you a long time, as I managed to get 4 applications out of a sample sachet. I think if you can afford it then you definitely should purchase it. If it is out of your budget then there are other exfoliators that are decent too.
When I can afford this I will definitely purchase it as I loved how it made my skin feel and look. The price makes me a little sad but skincare is super important to me and I would easily pay that price for an eyeshadow palette, so it makes sense to spend that money on something that is actually benefiting my skin.
A nice elegant and simple white bottle of exfoliator. It is a clearish white gel based exfoliator which produces a tiny lather when massaging onto wet face. The soft fine granules within the gel-based consistency just feels so good on my skin. My face feels nice and soft afterwards. It feels very comfortable on the face. Probably not for those who prefers a more gritty exfoliator.
It was expensive for an exfoliator, but i was looking for a product that could possibly help reduce the size of my pores, and i came across this product at Mecca, and it’s description of having pore refining properties just caught my eyes.
It’s very easy to use.. and a little amount goes a long way.. I accidently squeezed out much more than i actually needed the first time, so ended up giving my neck a massage as well.
So did it help reduce the size of my pores? Em... not sure. No quick results for me yet... but will see in the long term. A nice exfoliator... I do like it. My face feels clean and healthy afterwards, but probably wont repurchase if my pores aren’t fixed.
