I have been using this cleanser for over a month now along with a couple of other of trilogy products as I make the move to all trilogy products. Firstly the price, trilogy products are more expensive than your run of the mill supermarket or drug store brands however after looking deeper into the brand I think the price is worth it. It's a New Zealand brand which I will always happily pay a little extra for, but really its their natural, sustainable, ethical and cruelty free products that got me hooked. The packaging: their sleek, chic, natural and earthy looking packaging is beautiful. The bottle although made of glass, seems thick and relatively hardy. As its a pump its easy to use, travels well and is easy to get the exact amount you want. The product: I use it as the instructions state - dampen my face, rub the cleanser on then wipe off with a damp cloth. It feels soft and creamy on my face and afterwards it does not leave my face feeling tight like other cleansers. I am not a huge fan of the smell, although it is not at all unpleasant. It smells a little of lavender and rosehip oil. I use it to remove makeup as well, and it removes even heavy eye make up well. Overall i'm impressed at how creamy and gentle it is, yet how well it also removes my make up, its great!

I have been using this cleanser for about 3 weeks now, It has a soft creamy texture and emulsifies really well and smells quite pleasant, you can definitely smell rosehip oil and even a hint of lavender
It removed my make up really well, including my heavy eye make up, without leaving much residue, which I'm assuming is due to the high oil content.
I have dry/damaged/sensitive skin and it left my skin feeling moisturised, soft and clean, it didn't irritate my skin at all, over the weeks that i have been using it. Just make sure to remove all residue of your cleanser by using facial sponges or a face cloth.
The price is in the average/middle range for skin care, and the packaging is really handy with it's pump feature, you don't go squirting out too much product that you don't need which I love :)
Overall it is a wonderful cleanser for dry/dehydrated skin, would definitely use again
Tips: Reuse the bottle for a classy handwash bottle for your bathroom :)
I love this cleanser! It’s gentle, softening and smells lovely. I prefer cream cleansers because they tend to remove everyday make up without being too harsh, and they feel a bit luxurious compared to the foaming types. Trilogy’s is a good example of this - it’s slightly thicker in texture than some, but not as thick/balmy as say Lush’s Ultrabland. It washes off cleanly (some cream cleansers leaves me feeling a bit oily at times) and I find it nice for morning or night. I also love the packaging - a nice solid amber glass bottle with a pump top.
Tips: Like all cream cleansers I'd recommend using it with a face cloth.
I love Trilogy's moisturising products so was keen to try the cleansers too. This cleanser is lovely, clean and fresh smelling and gentle on the skin. It left my skin feeling smooth and refreshed and not stripped of oils. I would use a more heavy duty cleanser to remove makeup though as this doesn't tend to dissolve all traces well. However if you need something natural, not too harsh and with smoothing qualities, this is a lovely option.
Beautiful cleanser, quite a lot greasy-er than other cream cleansers I have used, but it makes your skin feel so soft and clean. I dont think it removes make up very well but I remove that with a cleansing wipe before my shower anyway.
Tips: I would definitley rinse this off with a flannel, as the cleanser feels like it stays on your skin otherwise and I cant imagine this being very good for your skin.
I was excited to use this product. It smells really lovely, feels nice to massage into skin and leaves your skin feeling clean and soft afterwards. However, I had to stop using this and throw out what I had left because my skin reacted to it really badly. The pores on my forehead got really clogged, I got lots of red bumps around my jawline, and I got some horrible pimples (which I never usually get; incidentally, all of these problems have disappeared completely since I switched to the Extra Sensitive version of this). I'm not sure what it was that my skin disliked here, but I would advise anyone with sensitive skin to proceed with caution. It's hard to rate this because my reaction was obviously atypical - I think for most people this would actually be a nice cleanser.
I was given a sample tube awhile back. I've used it on holidays and after swimming and when I've stayed at my dad's place. It's gentle and moisturizing like a cream cleanser should be. I once was spending an entire morning swimming outside so I piled on my foundation since it had spf extra heavy (this was before I found my good spf moisturizer) when it came time to wash my face I double cleansed it with this and all the traces came off. It was a fairly durable compressed powder foundation so it did a pretty good job of removing it.
This was the first cleansing product I have tried from Trilogy, I love their moisturising products and this cleanser has impressed me. I hate using cleansers that feel like my skin has been stripped of all the oil, but this one is nourishing. It leaves my skin feeling plump, smooth and clean.
I do have to admit I use my Bioderma to remove my eye makeup/quick sweep over the face so I can't really comment on how it removes make up but I would never use a rich cleanser on my eyes anyway.
Before I started using this cleanser I had dry patches on my cheeks/forehead and they have cleared up. It smells gorgeous and makes me feel like I am pampering my skin with all the ingredients like rosehip & evening primrose oil.
This is quite good. I'm more of a foaming face wash kinda gal but this is wonderful for winter when I need a wee bit extra moisture and it also works quite well with makeup. I've used this as a shaving cream/lotion and a face mask too and found it works great. Lovely natural oils and ingredients, stars for you Trilogy!
I got the Very Gentle Cleasing cream from the last beauty vault which was running out (lasted for ages!) and I went to get another and this was on special (and game with a gift with purchase! Always a bonus) so I thouht I would try it.
I love that it is a pump and I love the glass bottle. I have however had to move it away from the soap as it has been mistaken as hand soap (not ok) so my advise is protect your cleanser!
It smells amazing (as with most trilogy products) and I find it is very gentle on my skin. I remove my eye make up with an eye make up remover and cotton balls first as this is my prefered way and then wash with the trilogy cream cleanser. I pat dry and then use my trilogy face moisturiser and eye cream (I did say it was an addiction) and for now this is my prefered bedtime routine.
Tips: Make sure you don't keep it near the sink or people think it is hand soap. Come on people! However don't let this put you off the pump is perfect for giving you just enough and not wasting the product :)
