I have a bit of a love hate relationship with Micellar water. When it appeared on the local market I went out and nabbed myself a bottle and was disappointed. I've tried another one since with slightly better results, but still nothing to really rave about. Managed to use these up by using them as brush cleaners. So, it wasn't with much hope I tried this one. I got it in a pack of other Sukin products and while it was the last one to open, I am not disappointed! using it with face cotton rounds, I found it removed almost all of my normal 'work' makeup. Just a little mascara was left. which compared to other micellar products was darn good. I used 3 cotton rounds in the process.
the scent is refreshing and the bottle is generous with easy pouring - but if I tipped it over, I probably wont loose too much product (I'll try not to test this). After my skin felt good and clean.
I also tried it as a brush cleaner - choosing my most difficult brush (foundation) and it worked well, but not as thoroughly as cleansing oil.
I am loving the Sukin brand and will look for it regularly.
I love the concept of micellar waters, and usually find they work quite well at removing makeup. Unfortunately I found the Sukin Micellar Cleansing Water didn't succeed at removing 100% of the makeup from my face — I still noticed foundation in my pores where something like Lush's Ultrabland would easily remove everything. It's a shame really, because I love Sukin and I love how gentle and soothing this water is on the skin. I think I would recommend this as a cleanser, but perhaps not as a makeup remover if you usually wear a full face of makeup.
