I absolutely love the Linden Leaves range - I would have scored 5/5 for 'Would you use it again' except there was one product I probably wouldn't use again (essential facial moisturiser) as it was probably to light for my more mature skin and I wasn't keen on the smell. However I was so impressed with the other two products in the range that I tried - regenerating night cream & miraculous facial oil that I will probably keep using the range but try a richer moisturiser. I love the packaging as it looks natural and is made with environmentally friendly inks & paper - it's also a NZ product which I also love !! My skin can easily get irritated but I've had no problems using these products and my skin feels great after application.

Tips: Try a richer day moisturiser for more mature skin
I love the soft colour on this crisp and clean packaging on the product although it does hide away on the shelves a bit in comparison to some other eye catching brands. The bottles are all sleekly designed and dispense the product well in accurate amounts for application. I personally loved the night cream the most in this trilogy of products, from the texture of the product, to the pump dispenser, to the gorgeous fragrance. It made me feel like my skin was getting a spa treatment as I slept. I also liked the textures of the day moisturizer and facial oil, both were non greasy and left my skin feeling fresh and hydrated however I didn't like the fragrances of the two of these as much. They were not unpleasant but just not the sort of smell I enjoy. I used the ddat moisturizer every morning under my makeup and was quick and easy to apply and soaked into my skin fast so I could get into my makeup application without delay, LOVE THAT! I used the night cream after removing my makeup and cleaning each night for an overnight facial mask and I swear the smell of this helped me sleep, it smells a little like lavender to me. I used the facial oil once a week for an extra moisture boost as I have oil prone skin, however this regime made my skin less oily and less prone to break outs so I'm happy with that! Overall I would recommend this set for anyone that needs a complete skin care system that's easy to use, does what it claims and makes your skin naturally healthy.
Tips: Rub all of these in your hands to heat the product before application to help smooth it onto your skin and spread the product further.
Had my skin not reacted to the Essential Moisturiser I would give this regime a higher rating, but I'm still happy to recommend the product. I will use the Regenerating Night Cream again and although I didn't like the Miraculous Facial Oil by itself, it does mix well with both moisturisers to give a pleasing result. I have noticed an improvement in the softness and texture of my skin since using this Linden Leaves regime. The products work well together. The packaging is lovely and ensures bacterial growth isn't a problem. The Essential Moisturiser has a very definite plant aroma to it but none of the fragrances are overpowering nor offensive. I love that Linden Leaves is an ethical and sustainable product, I also love the story behind the products. So much goodness comes from a mother's love. If you're wondering whether Linden Leaves is worth the price tag, then I'd say yes.
Tips: People with highly reactive, sensitive skin should probably stay away from the Essential Moisturiser.
Simply put this moisturising regime is amazing! Linden Leaves is a NZ based company which uses only the best natural ingredients. You can be certain that there are no nasties in these products!
I have used all of these products alone and together with the oil. These three products really do work amazingly well together and each has something great to add.
I absolutely adore the face oil as it can be used alone or mixed into the day or night cream. One drop into either cream transforms them into a decadent facial treatment. The oil absorbs really quickly into the skin leaving the skin feeling perfectly soft. Even my husband who hates oils has been using this oil alone at night and loving it! He gets very dry skin and there is a noticeable difference after one application of this oil.
The night cream feels like a night cream should, like a thick ultra moisturising treatment. The night cream absorbs in quickly and feels super soft. Some nights I want an extra boost which is when I add a drop or two of the oil. Alone or with the oil the skin look hydrated and glows after using the night cream.
The day cream is much lighter than the night cream which is perfect for wearing under make-up but if you require something heavier that is when using it with a drop of oil is fantastic.
What I love about this moisturising regime is that thanks to the oil it is super adaptable. Both of the creams are great without the oil but on the days or night that you feel (or can see) that your skin needs something a little more then just a drop of two of the oil into the cream will make a big difference. Our seasons can create havoc to the skin so it is nice to be able to have something tailored to dry wintery skin or to leave it lighter on a hot humid summers day.
Tips: If your skin is feeling super dry then add some of the oil into the cream for the perfect dry skin remedy.
Quite simply, I love this regime and I use the word simply because 'regime' seems too regimented for what this really is. Linden Leaves incorporates the very best in botanical skin care without compromising its kiwi heritage and leaving a huge dent in your wallet. The Miraculous Facial Oil is divine. It not only smells delicious it applied nicely to the skin without feeling too heavy. I instantly saw an improvement which I have to say is quite a challenge for any beauty product. My skin glowed from the first application and I noticed all the winter dryness soothed and my skin revived. I followed the oil with the rejuvenating night cream and whilst at first I thought this might be too much I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. The next day my face was bright, the bags under my eyes were history and my skin was alive and so very soft to touch - no grease in sight! After washing my face and applying the day cream which again, instantly absorbed and brightened my skin I was set. And that was it. So easy and simple for such maximum results. I am fully converted and these gorgeous products will be a regular in my bathroom. I loved the botanical smell, the easy application and the value for money package size.
Tips: A little goes a very long way. Go easy on the application.
I'm excited to report that Linden Leaves hit it out of the park with this trio! If you're like me, then you'd always known Linden Leaves to have lovely body oils that have real flowers in them. They've had a revamp and come out with a skincare system that springboards off all of their history of plant based Kiwi goodness. I was excited to receive the three products together and I'll also review on their own, but I will say, where they find their strength is in combining them all together.
Firstly the facial oil is lovely. It's not greasy at all to apply and it has a lovely light fresh fragrance. I received this first so started using it in place of a night cream and was really impressed. When I woke in the morning my skin felt refreshed and plump.
The moisturiser felt a little lighter in contrast. Definitely more of a summer consistency on it's own! But I read that little trick of mixing just one drop of facial oil with the moisturiser and voila - it was so lovely! I wore this combo underneath Estee Lauder Double Wear and you know that it's got to be good it it holds that up! Added to that, it made my EL Double look natural all day ie. my makeup didn't look dry at around 3pm and need me to spray it with Fix Plus to add moisture!
The night cream is just beautiful. You can wear this on it's own or after applying the oil, if you're feeling a little dehydrated. I found that my skin is just starting to look amazing in the morning -and I wake up at 4.30 every morning so that's saying something. And no, I'm not a tween. I'm a 45 year old full time working Mum of three kids so the mornings can look pretty tragic. I can say that my skin is glowing with this regime - no doubt about it. If they have an eye cream I want to get all over it!!
Tips: Combine these products for some amazing results! The Miraculous Face Oil combined with the Essential Facial Moisturiser (just one drop mind) is wonderful!!!
I was extremely excited to try out this product range. I found the star products were the moisturiser and the night cream. They were both well scented and easy to apply. It was easy to fit them into my routine. The facial oil I was not so happy with. It did give my skin a nice glow however I personally felt the oil was too much and left my skin feeling heavy and clogged.
Tips: This range is great to add into a skincare regime as it has a wide range of benefits for the skin.
I am so grateful to BR for including me in this trial as moisturisers are the one thing I can't live without as I have mature skin. Used as a triple combo, these 3 products do WORK !!!!
If I had to pick one as my utmost favourite it would be the Miraculous Facial Oil. Its like a mini facial in a bottle and so versatile. I tried it on its own, added to the night cream, and even under concealer. It smells lovely and absorbs into the skin well - and you wake up with a fresh glow and lovely feeling skin. I will definitely be buying this after I run out, however, I think it will last quite a while as it only takes a few drops at a time.
The Essential Moisturiser (day cream) is light and silky. I am not a fan of the fragrance, but it glides on well and has a great texture. I would not use it on its own as I like a richer, heavier moisturiser, but used in conjunction with the other two products, my skin totally got used to it and started to feel well moisturised during the day - although it did take quite a few pumps to get enough product on my face and neck to feel good, so I would probably go through this product quite quickly.
The Regenerative Night Cream on the other hand was rich and lush and creamy. It had a gorgeous fragrance and one pump covered the face and neck. I used it both on its own and also tried it with a bit of the oil, both worked well. On nights when you feel like you need a bit of an extra boost, add the oil, but it still holds its own without it. I really liked this night cream and will definitely buy it again.
All in all I'm loving this regime. Used all together the products work well. Individually the oil and night cream were my favourites and although I did get used to the day cream, I would not use it on its own without the support of the other two products.
As a total beauty regime, this is a good one, especially for mature skin !
Tips: Use all 3 products as a beauty regime to get the best results, especially good for mature or normal/dry skin!
I was thrilled to have the opportunity to review the three products as I had been aware of Linden Leaves for quite some time and was keen to participate. All three products that I tried were compatible with my skin in texture and tone and certainly well nourished it - especially in my case after using the miraculous facial oil. The list of ingredients in each product is huge and complex, showing just how much time and trial goes into the finished product to produce the very best in skin care. I recommend this brand and these three products to anyone who wants an affordable yet quality product of skincare. I love the writing on the bottom of the box that says it all - "Made With Love In New Zealand "
I loved the packaging and clean sharp branding of Linden Leaves. The design and look of the packaging is very fresh and screams quality.
The price point is high and is the number one reason I have always longed for, but never purchased any of their products. I am super grateful to be picked to trial this range even though I was disappointed to find that it didn't suit my skin, but better it be by trial than by draining my bank account.
The tubes although full size were on the small side at first appearance. But I quickly discovered a small amount goes a long way. The scent of the oil and the nightcream was lovely, subtle floral with the slightest hint of sharp berry. Unfortunately the scent of the oil changed with my skin chemistry as soon as it warmed and it took on the odour of spent vegetable cooking oil, which was unpleasant and the silage was med to high as my colleagues noticed it as well. The night cream's scent sadly vanished as soon as it hit my skin. The moisturiser scent was a mix of acrid sharp chrysanthemum and chalk, which was a surprise and the scent remained until dry down.
The consistency across the range was good, thick white creams that promised youthful hydration, and a bright unusual yellow oil.
The mosituriser came with a pump applicator which delivered a very small amount with each pump, I found 4-5 pumps were sufficient for full face and neck coverage. The moisturiser didn't absorb into my skin and felt heavy on my skin leaving a film for the duration of the day. I tried it on its own, with make up, without, after a shower on warm skin and with 2 drops of the oil mixed in and no luck, the results were always the same. The oil had a dropper applicator and I tried on its own, mixed as above, and with the night cream in separate attempts to achieve satisfactory results....... no luck, no absorption, weird odour and a filmy oil on my skin. Same results with the night cream with the added residue left on my pillow, uh nice. The delivery mechanism of the night cream was a struggle and a half. The top of the bottle has a depression with a hole in the centre of the depression and the top piece pushes down into the bottle to propel the smallest amount of cream. A how lot of fuss for very little. I got quite frustrated with it, a tube or a pottle would have been better.
In desperation I tried a couple of drops of the oil mixed in with another moisturiser (skin therapy dragons blood) and achieved soft plump hydrated skin without the filmy residue or heavy feeling. So, it could just be me, or my technique, but one thing I have discovered is that this range didn't agree with me or my skin, which I am sad about. I will just stick to admiring it from afar and sniffing the testers in store.
Tips: Try before you buy.
