Lush The Godmother Soap Review

Just finished this and it's sooooo good! The smell is my favourite part of it because it's such a sweet, candy like scent. When I use it I really nice after and the scent slightly lingers. I love how well it lathers up and feels very luxurious. I usually use body washes but I wanted to try something a little different and this one has certainly left a good impression on me! It's very easy to use and the shape of it makes it very grippy so it won't slip out of my hand in the shower (god I hate it when that happens). I used this up surprisingly fast and I think I'll be back for another one. This is quite a reasonable sized soap with plenty of product so I think it's definitely worth it! Now which lush soap should I try next?

The scent is so sweat and candy like... raspberry notes and maybe a hint of vanilla... I just sat and sniffed it for the first couple of days (so delicious). The colour is a deep reddish pink semi opaque tone.

In the shower the bar foams easily and like any glycerin based soap it cleans well and leave the skin feeling almost squeaky clean. I didn't experience the feeling of dry skin after use or anything bad at all. The aroma lasts a little while on the skin thankfully, and I could still smell it for around a hour or so before slipping off to sleep (unfortunately you don't wake up with the scent still)

My bathroom smells delicious still though with what is still left of the block. I would bath using only this scent for all eternity if I could... heavenly!

If you love Snow Fairy, then you will love the smell of Godmother!!! It's just the same but in solid form - so definitely does what it says it does..!

I've never been a huge fan of the way that soap leaves my skin feeling, but this as a hand soap at the basin in the bathroom is beautiful.

I keep mine in a dish at the basin as I feel like the colour might stain it otherwise. Sometimes I wash my makeup brushes with it too...hehe!

The smell, the texture, the way it leaves my skin feeling! Gosh where do I start!?

I'm an avid user of bar soaps. As much as I love gels its much much easier to have a quick scrub with a bar soap IMO! And this one is a winner. I love Lush but i find some of their products to smell a little overpowering; with the godmother though its quit a light scent in the shower but it definitely lingers on my skin. It super enhances the smell of my perfumes that I wear too, especially the fruity ones.

My only qualm is that it does tend to melt away quite quickly. What can I say? I can't get enough!

LOVE. LOVE. LOVE. I got this a few weeks ago, and ofcours I knew it would be fabulous because it's Lush. It smells delicious, very lolly like. But not too sickly sweet. It has a great colour, very bright and inviting. Makes me feel lovely and clean after use and leaves my skin and bathroom smelling AMAZING!

I bought this because of the hype and because I am a lover of sweet smells. I am not a huge soap user and prefer gels or scrubs but I just had to have this very girly and gorgeous soap. It really is the Godmother of Lush soaps. It smells amazing of candy and all things sweet! It calls to every level of my girliness. I like how rustic it looks when you get it. It's in no particular shape just a slab off the block.

It proudly takes place in my shower soap dish and makes my shower look so pretty! I use this to soap up my legs to shave. I can't use chemicals to shave so this is perfect for that and leaves them smelling amazing. I can't use soap on my body because it tends to dry out but the fact that I can use it as a shaving lather is perfect!

The only complaint I have is that it melts way too quickly which means that I have to buy again too soon. But because I love it so much I am happy to do so. Even my son loves to use it as an all over body cleanser so it's a win, win situation.

I do not usually use blocks of soap but I was lucky enough to be gifted a Lush "Sweet Soap of Mine' pack which has both The Godmother and Rock Star Soaps.

Wow! The scent of The Godmother Soap is amazing. If I could eat the soap, I would. It smells of red licorice, candy happiness.

I use this soap on a daily basis and it lasts and lasts - all 100g of it. In the gift pack, The Godmother Soap came in the shape of a wedge and it has kept its shape in the shower.

When using The Godmother Soap, it does not lather like a standard bar of soap. It is also quite slippery on touch. My skin feels clean, soft and revitalised. and the candy fragrance lingers in the bathroom. The beautiful scent also lasts a long time on my skin.

I love Lush products and trust putting them on my skin.

I love this soap. The fragrance is intoxicating and not sickly sweet. The colour of the soap is nice too. I haven't tried any other Lush soaps because I can't go past this one.

Absolutly love this soap. i was gifted it for a birthday by my best friend. defiantly a winner in my eyes. the soap leaves your skin feeling super soft and moisturised. i love lush products, and it feels good to know your buying organic and products made with such a little amount of chemicals.

my favourite thing about this soap, is the scent. i absolutely love it. its like a sweet strawberry/bubble gum smell. and its lush. the scent lasts relatively long on your skin too. doesn't particularly last long though.

defiantly will be repurchasing in the future for a treat. wish i could always have it, but its just a lil too expensive for me especially just for soap!
