I bought a 100 gram piece of this soap pretty recently. I'm currently using this as bathroom handsoap. It was bought on a bit of a whim in the lush store, I love the scent of the Karma Kream moisturiser so I decided I needed to try the soap out.
This is a reddish kind of terracotta coloured piece of soap. Since each piece gets cut off a larger piece of soap, the shapes will vary but mine is like a triangular wedge of cake shaped. (Well it was anyway, it's a rather small triangle now). I really like how you can buy any amount of soap you like and don't have to stick to 100gram amounts, because it's cut especially for you, you can buy what you like! This also doesn't really come packaged, just in a wrapping of lush paper.
Even though I've been using this for a while, I still can't describe the scent. It's very warm and earthy with a hint of spicyness in there too. It's very strong and will leave it's scent on you for a long time. It also leaves my bathroom smelling so good too.
I've used quite a few of lush's soaps now. I feel like they are either a creamy formula that lathers so well but gets used up quickly or they are more of a glycerine-like soap and last for ages but don't have much lather. This seems to be in the latter selection of soaps. This has lasted me a couple of weeks now which is way longer than I've used other types of soap for but it just doesn't give me that big foamy lather that I want. In saying that, it doesn't leave my skin feeling dry after using it. I don't think any lush soap I've tried before does leave me feeling dry though.
I don't think I'd buy this soap again, but because I love the scent, I will buy other Karma products instead. I so hope they do shower gel one day. I'd be all over that one! I'd recommend sniffing this instore but maybe buying the lotion instead.
I brought this on a whim I love lush, and I love soaps. Soaps are so versatile in our household, in the shower, in the kitchen, the bathroom basin, the laundry. No doubt if there is H2O there is a bar of lush soap. Another win with lush soaps is most of them smell scrumptious which seems to be encouraging miss 2 and 4 to wash their hands more as they love the scents as much as their mother.
Anyway this cherry red coloured soap looks like something you want to sink your teeth into. Why must lush products look like you need to eat them?! Its a hard soap which I love as they last longer than the creamier type soaps.
The scent of this is gorgeous, it's woody, spicy and warming. It lathers up slightly and leaves my skin feeling moisturised and soft. I've been mostly using this as a hand soap and I notice it leaves my hands scented for half an hour before it starts to fade. I love how in the karma scent there is the soap, body lotion and bubble bar so you can get all Matchy Matchy if you want to.
It's a nice soap that I love using on my hands keeping them clean and slightly moisturised, not to mention that woody patchouli scent that lingers. I will repurchase this again without hesitation.
