I tried this several times over the course of about two months (in case my senses changed) and I wanted to like it but I just couldn't. It lathers well and leaves my skin soft and not dry but the scent is so overpowering (and I am not a spiced fragrance fan) and it lingered a long time after using; which is great... if you like the scent.

Reviews
I fell in love with this fragrance in the supermarket isle. Ginger and Sandlewood together are so alluring and playfully spicey. Such a great blend. A little on your shower puff is all you need for a wonderful shower experience. The bottle is a nice shape and easy to hold with wet hands. It is a beautiful golden colour. The price is reasonable aand it comes on special which makes it even better value for money.
I was first introduced to these products when I got a whole heap of samples from my hairdressers. I tried all three "flavours" and it put me in a bit of a pickle... They are all sooooo good. Which to buy???
Eventually I went with the pink one. I think my favourite is the green one, however my local supermarket doesn't stock it so I went with pink thinking that it would prevent the man of the house using MY product. No such luck. Me: babe have you been using my shower gel it's running out really quickly. Him: ummm yes. It smells nice.
So there you have it. A scent alluring to both sexes. Maybe not quite unisex though unless your man also likes pink products.
The smells really are divinely spicy and I think that alone would carry them but they happen to be great products irrespective of scent. They give a fabulous lather, a little goes a long way. They give a great clean but aren't at all stripping. The scent lingers on the skin (another way I snapped out the man of the house) so perhaps could be the potential to clash with perfumes or lotions.
The bottle is the most frustrating bottle ever perhaps. The formula is really thick and the bottle sort of slurps the product back in unless you squeeze reeeallly hardly. It's not impossible to use like the mint body butter wash sample for those of you that got one but similarly annoying.
I was gifted a trio of the travel sized bottles by another very generous member who was having a bathroom clean out. Palmolive makes amazing scents for their shower gels some of their shower gels have been favorites of mine. But this was the first time I tried the Ayurituel line. Ayurituel Energy smells of ginger and sandalwood is nice and spicy. Ayurituel Joyous has an Indian mulberry and lotus scent, it smells a bit fruity to me. Then there Ayurituel Tranquility which has a rosemary and patchouli fragrance. This one is my favorite surprisingly as I don't normally go for rosemary or patchouli scents, it's possible there's some other notes in there that I can't place as to what they are but it smells relaxing. When I put a little on a shower puff it lathers up well but doesn't leave a lingering scent. However, if I apply it straight from the bottle and lather it up in my hands then apply it on then the scent will linger for a bit. I can't do the latter to often though as if I do it dries out my skin. Overall if you don't have dry skin and don't mind shower gels containing SLS this is a nice addition to your shower stall at an affordable price for some morning or evening shower therapy. The only reason I wouldn't buy this when I run out because it's a bit drying on my skin and has SLS. But still it's a nice shower gel and was a thoughtful gift.
Tips: It gets even cheaper when it's on sale. If you find it too drying when you apply it straight from your palms and lather it on to your body. Try putting a little on a shower bubble net. You'll use less and so it'll be less drying.
What a pleasant, joyful experience this has brought me! I can honestly say there is two shower gels right up on top of my list of loves - a limited edition Lux they don't make anymore - boo! and this!
First up, the bottle reminds me of the newer Palmolive bottles, but without the fuss of having to struggle and pull out the tools from the garage to open! It's a slimline, feminine bottle with an easy to open cap.
The scent! Oh my goodness! It smells like heaven in a bottle, a bit strong, but really lovely and it's so long lasting on your skin too!
Five out of five for "it does what it says" - because it really does take you to another place! I absolutely love how refreshed it makes you feel.
It cleans thoroughly and doesn't exfoliate, so there will be no dead skin all over your body as you dry yourself.
Would I recommend? Yes! But only to someone who likes smelling like their shower gel for a couple of hours after. If you don't want to smell like anything to spray perfume or body mist, then this is not for you!
This is awesome if you're a huge fan of full-bodied spicey scents, reason being why I purchased it. This shower gel is wonderfully aromatic the combination of ginger and sandal wood is harmonious and invigorating, although if you're not much a fan of spicey scents you'll probably find it a bit much, over-powering. Fragrance aside, this is a cleansing gel and it does just that nothing more nothing less. It's a decent cleanser for the body and value for money.
I purchased this product for $5.99 at New World on special. As Palmolive is a reliable brand in New Zealand, I trusted that this product would be good.
Firstly it comes in a prettily-shaped 750ml pump bottle, with the distinctive Palmolive logo. I find the deep red colour of the product inside the clear plastic lovely and the design of picture on the bottle gives it a kind of Egyptian feel.
The pump top pops up and you’re away pressing down to extract the product. Once opened there is a lovely scent to greet you. I know the bottle says shower gel, but I prefer to use this product in a relaxing bath, so this product in my household is a bath gel – sorry Palmolive! So it’s into hot water with a few squirts, followed by me.
It takes quite a lot of product to really scent the water and the room but if you use enough, the gorgeous scent pervades the room. The water softens and my muscles and bones feel very warm and relaxed also.
After leaving the bath my skin is lovely and clean and soft, but doesn’t maintain the beautiful smell for long sadly.
The product says ‘rediscover your well-being and inner harmony’, and I kind of feel like I do while I’m in the water! Enriched with Indian Mulberry and Lotus extracts – yummy!
This is a very nice and economical product, and what I’ve come to expect from Palmolive products, however I don’t think it’s the best of their range.
Tips: Use in the bath for a nice soak.
I quite like this body wash, the fragrances are yummy and fresh, and leave you feeling clean. It doesn't dry out your skin like some soapy body washes can. Foams up nicely, not to much else to say about it. I would repurchase but I still like to try others out.
Loved this! I was on the hunt for a new shower gel and was attracted to Joyus by the bright pink colour, and its luxurious look but with an inexpensive price tag. Palmolive isnt normally my first choice but this didn’t disappointed. It left my skin feeling well moisturised and fresh. It is easy to use and is spill proof. The shape of the bottle is great! Easy to grip/squeeze while in the shower The Scent is amazing – it has a mild aroma that lasts! I will be buying this again
I remember when these were first released and the ads on TV that accompanied the initial release made this product look amazing. I knew I wanted to try it, but for $6.. i kept putting it off and off and someone else in the household brought it anyway so I got to use it that way (I know, how cheeky am I).
This body wash comes in a smooth shaped bottle with a flip top cap. Its made of a slight hard plastic which is see through (which i am a huge fan of). The bottle is designed well, easy to hold with a slight curve in the bottle.
The body wash is a beautiful brown amber colour and that is part of the reason I was drawn to it. It has a lovely smell. It's slightly spicy and musky and is something I think both girls and guys would be happy to use. The consistency is a bit thinner than other body washes i have tried so I do find a bit does slip through my fingers/ body loofah which means there is some wastage. However, I do find that only a little bit of body wash lathers up really well and leaves a beautiful smell in your bathroom as well as giving your skin a great clean.
I do like the shower gel, but I do have a few cons to say about it. I don't find this body wash nourishes my skin, but i also don't find that it dries it out or anything like that either. The price is a little off-putting so Id only repurchase this on special. I love the smell of this, but the formula is nothing amazing or anything, but i would re buy for the smell.
