This foot balm had a real nice fragrance which had a nice calming effect. It was nice and cooling and soothing but I didn't see any visible difference in my feet when using it. I think if your feet are past the point of being soft and supple (cracked etc) its not going to make it better. I think this is probably more suited to those that already have soft feet to stop them getting hard and cracked.
Even though it did soak in it still left my feet feeling quite slippery in the morning, nearly lost my footing going into the bathroom.
The good thing is it didn't stain the sheets like I thought it would.
So if you have cracked or harden heels this is the product for you but to make the tired feet feel refreshed and not so tired then this product does the trick.
I'm slowly becoming a foot cream/balm expert as I make my way through the various potions on offer trying to find that holy grail that will work on my rough heels, as well as my husband's sore heel cracks. We seem to go through creams for this area of the body more than we use up fresh milk!
Packaging, there is a wholesome, home grown charm to the Soultime range which is quite endearing and refreshing. The foot balm comes in a round glass jar with a silver screw top lid with the label consuming most of the glass so you can't see through to the contents. Inside the balm is a smooth waxy consistency that once warms melts into a fluid oil for ease of absorption to the foot area. This makes it very effective to give a great foot massage as your fingers glide over the skin effortlessly. Fragrance wise I found that the scent was pleasantly understated, with no chemicals enhancing the ingredients there is a muteness to the soft olive and lavender tones that once absorbed into the feet leave no lingering aroma.
Be careful how you store this as if exposed to high temperature the balm will melt into an oil state, which I found out by leaving it on the fire mantel one night....oops. It doesn't affect the balm at all and sets back quickly once cooled down. I wouldn't rush off to repurchase this as it just doesn't seem to have the power needed to keep on top of the cracked, parched skin across my soles and heels. Let alone make a dent in preventing or easing the deep cracks in my husband's heel. It was a pleasant massage enhancer but other than that I wouldn't rely on it to soften my skin or keep it nourished as some others in the natural skincare department can do better and quicker.
