I love to keep some facial wipes for those times I want to remove my makeup very quick and don’t have the energy for my usual use of cleansing and toning.
These wipes come in so handy for days that you want to just hop into bed but need to get your makeup off ASAP.
The packaging is nice, with its blue and white color scheme. The Dove brand has some lovely products for the price point, so I was excited to try.
The formula is nice and removed my makeup well, mascara and long wearing foundation. It also felt gentle on my skin and didn’t cause irritation.
The wipes did the job well and I would recommend. Overall I give these 4 stars. A great product from Dove.
I brought these recently when they were on a buy one get one half price offer at the local supermarket, reading the packet it seemed to be suited for my dry/combination skin so into the basket they went (flashy sale and offer stickers always make me head straight over)
The pale blue packaging and little silver dove on the peel back protective flap just scream I’m a dove product at you, and talking about the protective flap...Hooray!!! it actually re-stuck after multiple use, this is often the leading downfall on wipes as they all dry up and become hard to use, or not useable at all. I’m sure there is a life hack out there for storage of wipes to prevent this from happening but I’m far too lazy...hence the wipes in the first place to go source that out.
Cloth wipes are generous size with just the right amount of moisture in them to quickly but effectively removed about 80% of my makeup, including waterproof mascara – bonus!!! No second step needed there. I still always cleanse my face after removal of makeup with an actual liquid and water as it’s the best method to keep my combination skin under control. The material used in the wipe also never ripped as I used them, or did it take vigorous rubbing to remove the makeup, the wipe remained soft throughout.
It’s still not topping my favourite wipes but there isn’t much wrong with these, I would probably re-purchase if I saw them on offer again as they are still a little expensive at around $15 per pack when not on offer.
