Thayers Rose Petal Alcohol-Free Toner with Witch Hazel Aloe Vera

I gave up a long time ago with toners. A step that I cut out because I just didn't feel it did anything. But this Thayers Toner is different! The packaging, although just a plastic bottle is beautiful. The fragrance is stunning. Soft and floral without being sickly. The feeling when I pat this over my face was refreshing leaving a smoothness and calmness. Being alcohol free, there qas zero dryness. Quite the opposite result. Would definitely use again. It feels like quite a luxurious treat!

I have been using the rose and aloe toner and have really been enjoying it for the fragrance and the initial fresh feeling it gives to my skin, but honestly that’s about it.

It’s only been a couple of weeks but I’ve not noticed a difference in my skin, good or bad.

What I would like to do is put some in a wee spray bottle and spray over top of make up to see what that does!

Again, lovely rose scent, feels nice on the face. Definitely good value for money as the bottle is huge!

I hadn't heard of this brand before this trial but it's certainly on my radar now. What I loved is the natural ingredients it boasts about and that they have taken into account balancing the PH level of skin. Its alcohol and paraben free and the brand has been around since 1847 according to the bottle. My initial impression of the Thayers Rose Petal Toner bottle was that it looked old school - in a classic way not dated. Its a big 355ml bottle and I've barely left the neck of the bottle so far, so its going to go forever! The rose petal scent is delicate, feminine and I absolutely love it! It has other beneficial ingredients such as Witch Hazel and Aloe Vera - Witch Hazel has so many benefits for the skin but the one that appeals most is the calming of inflammation. I often get inflammation and rashes on my face with change of season etc. so am hoping that adding this to my skin care routine will help to ease that. My face feels clean and fresh after use - my only gripe is that I want to use it more than I am currently. Am going to buy a small spray bottle so I can use it to freshen up during the day. I've looked up pricing and availability and was pleasantly surprised at the price and its readily available locally. Overall its a winner - I will be recommending it to friends and continue to use it past this trial.

First impressions of the packaging were "oohhh", I love the solid plastic and really like the colour scheme going on too (it says "THAYERS since 1847 - and I really got that vibe).

This one is Rose Petal. To be honest, I've never fully been a fan of rose scented anything, but I wanted to review this product because I use toner everyday, it has been developed to cleanse, tone & moisturise...and I wanted to put the my senses to the test in terms of smell. If you're on the fence about Rose, this is so gentle & light I actually really liked it. I wanted also to test out their claim of giving a natural glow & this did that for me. My skin has been looking so refreshing & has felt refreshing the last week while using this - tick!

I tried applying with a cotton pad & a fluffy makeup remover reusuable round & definitely preferred the latter - it seemed to hydrate my skin more. In terms of the "cleanse, tone, moisturise...", it absorbed really quickly so I didnt feel this moisturised my face. It felt great after cleansing though. If this came in a spritz as well I feel it would be great to refresh - the directions on the back say to use throughout the day as a softening refresher - this would only work if you didnt have makeup on, as this also acts as a cleanser. So maybe pop in a spray bottle?!

Anyway, I'd purely use this as a toner & would be happy to use this again & again!! Love it.

I really enjoyed this product . I was someone that rearly used a toner in my skin care regime but after using this I'm hooked. I loved the feeling of my skin afterwards. My skin would have a nice healthy glow and my skin felt so soft. I do think it made my skin look smoother and less textured. This toner has slotted so well my skin care routine and I love it. Super easy to use packaging and bottle looks great. Only use a small amount each time so I think the bottle is going to last a long time so well worth the money.

When the bottle arrived I was excited to trial the Thayers toner, I hadn’t used a toner on my skin for years. The bottle had an old worldly drugstore look about it like going back in time except it was made from plastic rather than glass, since 1847 on the label and a sketch of Mr Thayer. The toner smells luxurious it has a hint of rose that is subtlety aromatic. I opened the flip lid and poured the liquid onto a cotton pad then applied to my previously cleaned face. I love the way my skin tone has improved and how moisturised my skin feels after using it. You can feel the tingling tightening straight after using it. I changed my moisturiser to a more natural one because I really liked how the Thayers toner made my skin look and feel, it looked softer, the tone is smoother and my skin is plumper. I am so happy with how my skin is looking using this natural product. It’s something I have started working my beauty routine around as I am very pleased with the results. I love the fact it’s an outstanding beauty care product and natural.

Thayers Rose Petal Alcohol-Free Toner with Witch Hazel Aloe Vera worked great on my sensitive skin for the first few days and i noticed straight away it had a pleasant fragrance from the natural rose water, however, it didnt feel as refreshing on my skin as the fragrance-free option. (Thayers Fragrance-Free Toner with Witch Hazel Aloe Vera).

It did help soothe and hydrate my skin which I found particularly beneficial for controlling oil production around my t-zone and minimising pores. However, over time the scent was a little strong for me. I still prefer the fragrance-free option, a better fit for those with sensitive skin types but if you enjoy a floral scent and dont have any fragrance sensitivities then it is a good choice!

I love this toner! It brightens, takes off a bit of dead skin but isn’t harsh and makes your skin feel great. It’s not irritating in any way but you can feel it working and improving your skin. I would use it every day happily.

The Rose toner smelled so lovely and refreshing. I instantly felt refreshed and my skin felt cleaner and tighter. The watery, lightweight toner comes out of the bottle with ease, and it soaks into skin within seconds my skin felt “more hydrated, glowy, and fresh” after use. I would love to see this in a spray bottle so I could spray directly onto my face as i dont like using cotton wool balls etc. I prefered to splash in on my face with my hands but then transferred some to my own spray bottle. I loved how it came with no excess packaging and the smell was divine.
