I've tried a few in-shower products designed to smooth and hydrate my skin, this so far is my favourite.
The bottle scares me a little as it's glass and I fear dropping it, but it does give it a luxe feel. The product comes out a bit too easily as it's an open top, but I've yet to regret the amount I've popped in my palm due to being careful not to spill it.
After washing my hair, cleansing my face etc I stop the shower's flow and apply the product all over, and this is where the product gets special. The scent is divine, and it truly leaves you feeling nourished and moisturised. It is honestly like being in a spa for a few minutes without spending a fortune.
After washing off with cool water my skin feels lush, and with repeated use I do see a difference.
I would absolutely recommend buying this as a treat, or as a gift for someone special. As a day to day product? It's nice, but perhaps not nice enough to spend the money that it costs. Overall though I do enjoy it a lot.
I received this as part of a GWP, this is not something I have brought, tried or even thought of before. I thought do we actually need it or is it a clever way of making us think we need it? I'm quite happy with good Ol moisturiser or body butter.
It comes in a glass bottle, not really ideal or practical especially when you have slippery oil all over your hands and your trying to put the lid back on or reach for more... Or am I the only one to have clumsy butter fingers?
The scent of this is reminds me of lemon strepsils, a warm lemon scent. The oil is yellow and well an oil. I tip out a few drops then rub it into my body it does absorb quickly but it does leave a greasy residue. And that lemon strepsils scent hangs around for a good hour.
It claims to help improve stretch marks, elasticity and firm and tone? Hmm... I thought firming and toning only happened through exercise. Call me a nana but I truly don't believe an oil can help firm and tone the body alone, yes massaging is good for the skin improving circulation but I'm not sold completely on the oil.
I'm really not convinced that I need this in my life, I used this for a week and didn't notice any difference in the appearance of my skin and I still used moisturiser afterwards.
I think that body butters and moisturisers do the job without needing an oil. This is s very pricey oil and I'm Glad I tried this in a GWP and didn't purchase it.
