A nice hard container. 50 mils of rich nivea cream contains a SPF. I was expecting a we bit more from this product, being nivea. It's an attractive box it comes in. It has an expirey date. The cream is a nice white with a soft texture quite creamy, a strong nearly soapy fragrance a little floral note to it, I find the smell overbearing not pleasant at all and it lingered. The cream soaks in quick and doesn't leave me feeling sticky. I only used this for a week and it's just not enough for my skin, so off to a girlfriend it went. I found I didn't feel moisturised at all, I found I was going back for more. My skin felt a little tingly with it. Not for me.

I was gifted this by a friend along the matching cream cleanser. I have a problem with my brother using my skincare so I put this in the cupboard for us to share. So far the the things I like about this is it's scent, price and spf factor and it's not a very greasy moisturizer. It is a thick cream but it absorbs into your skin decently. The scent is Nivea's signature scent. It comes in a sturdy jar which is good but I personally would prefer a pump. Looking at the ingredients it doesn't have a lot of good for your skin ingredients listed on the back of the jar just the active spf ingredients. I typically like to apply my spf moisturizer all over my face and around my eyes, I do this with my Apple a Day on a daily basis with no irritation whatsoever. However when apply this around my eyes it stings, makes my eyes water until I wash it off, if I even have this high on my cheeks my eyes seem to be slightly irritated about it or have traces of it on my finger when I apply another product to my eye area, my eyes don't like that either. Now it does say to avoid eye area so it's my fault if my eyes sting as a result. Personally if there's nothing else available it's an okay option but I won't apply it without a good serum or facial oil underneath since this is just spf. I'm happy to have this in the bathroom for my brother to use since he doesn't have an spf moisturizer but once this is used up I wouldn't buy this.
Tips: Take the "avoid around eyes warning" seriously because your eyes will water and sting if this gets near them.
I got this as I was looking for an affordable daily moisturiser with an SPF in it. I'm not a big fan of Nivea in general, but I thought I would give this a go.
First of all, I hate the scent. I'm not sure what it is that Nivea puts in their products to scent them but I wish they would stop. If you like the smell of Nivea products then this won't bothered you, but I can't stand it.
This does hydrate your skin and I love that it has a good SPF in it but the scent makes me dread using this. I also didn't like that this left a greasy feeling on my skin - it was as though my dry skin couldn't absorb the cream and so it sits on my skin rather than getting into it.
Overall I wouldn't recommend this and definitely won't be buying it again. I dislike it so much that I am giving the rest of this away as I won't use it - even on my legs.
This is a great everyday moisturiser that is not too heavy but still adds hydration to your skin. I have combination skin and found this moisturiser to be fine to use even though it is targeted to those with "normal" skin. I like that this moisturiser has SPF in it because I always like to use a day moisturiser that has built in sun protection. Found that this moisturiser was nice and light and didn't feel too oily or sticky for my combination skin. It absorbed quickly into my skin and didn't take too long to dry. I was able to put make up on on top of this moisturiser without it still being tacky.
I like how this moisturiser has ocean minerals in it as they are meant to be good for your skin. I wouldn't say that this moisturiser provides deep hydration. I personally think it is more of light moisturiser. Therefore I probably wouldn't recommend this to someone with dry skin as you would want something with a bit more hydration.
This moisturiser has a light and refreshing scent. It doesn't really smell of anything in particular. The packaging is a tube rather than the pottle/container pictured above. I quite like having it in a tube as it makes it easy to get the product out.
Overall this is a great day moisturiser that I would purchase again.
I really like this moisturiser and have repurchased many times.
The thing that drew me in was the good spf factor of 30+. I usually hate the heavy greasy feel of sunscreen but find that this moisturiser has a pretty good feel to it. I find that it's a little shiny by itself but just right under foundation.
On bb cream days I use this moisturiser on the neck area.
It's a great "go to" and is often on special at Countdown or The Warehouse.
It has a pleasant fragrance, not too heavy or perfumy.
I've never had a reaction from this product.
I'll keep buying it for sure.
Tips: Goes nicely with the night cream.
I am always on the look out for a day cream moisturiser that has SPF in it to wear under my make-up. Many other SPF creams I have tried have left me with breakouts, but when I purchased the sensitive version of this product I was instantly in love.
It doesn't have a scent which is great for my skin, and feels light on my face even though it goes on relatively thick. It works perfectly under my foundation and doesn't cause me any breakouts at all. Without make-up it does look a little shiny but that will be the combination of sunscreen and moisturiser ingredients suited for dry skin types.
It is a reasonable price in all supermarkets so suits my student budget really well. The little pot container is also great because you can really ensure you are getting all of the product out before you buy a new one.
Tips: A little goes a very long way with this product because it is quite thick.
A friend of mine happened to mention that this was her daily go-to moisturiser so I thought I'd give it a go. First off, amazing price for a daily moisturiser, whether you pick it up from the supermarket or online. Basic packaging and standard Nivea scent. The cream was a little thicker than I would like, but I put that down to the spf30. Easy to apply after washing your face, or in my case a quick swipe over with micellar water. I did find the scent was a little overwhelming the first few days but I soon got used to it. It's not a bad smell, or that overpowering, just different from my usual. I found it did take a little extra to soak into my skin, but it wasn't too thick. After a few hours it felt like it had 'worn off' and my skin didn't look as moisturised as it was earlier in the day and I definitely had a bit of shine showing up on my t zone. Would I use it again? Maybe in Summer if I need the extra layer of spf in the morning, but I'd be more inclined to just use a spf on it's own.
I have used this moisturizers for quite a while now. I mostly picked it because of the high spf 30 factor because protecting your skin from the sun is the best way to prevent aging. But its actually a surprisingly affordable and effective moisturizer as well and I'm really happy with it. It's not thick or greasy even with its high spf rating.
I have been using tinted moisturisers for years, never thinking about other ones. My old ones used to make my skin a lot darker then it should be so I started using this one. It makes my skin smooth and keeps my make-up on perfectly.
I love this moisturiser and I buy it by the jar full! It's super creamy and emollient without being greasy, however it might not be suitable for normal-oily types despite it's description on the jar as it truly feels like a dry skin cream to me, so I wonder how rich the dry formulation is? My skin really does not like sunscreens and even most products containing sunscreens will freak it out but it seems to tolerate this product fine which is a relief as I really worry about not wearing a sunscreen especially on my chest/neck area during the day, but in the past I haven't had the patience to wear one considering how much breaking out will be had when I do. Love the classic Nivea smell and that this is a spf 30+ which is quite high for a face cream. Even the jar is nice - and best of all this doesn't contain parabens (I checked mine) and it is super affordable - under $14 even not when on sale!
Tips: Wonderful spf containing moisturiser for normal-dry types but might not be suitable for oily skin!
