I have been using this for a few years and find it really effective. I start with dry feet and get as much off as possible with the file which depending on how long between times can take 5-10 mins. Then I wet my feet and go over them again throughly getting anything else that will come off. I love how this has a good sturdy handle and is the only one I haven't snapped the handle off so far. These are a great heavy duty pedicure file and I always have one on hand for when it's needed.

I love that it has a handle. Most pumice stones I use are just the stone. The added handle on this, really helps to get the file in the right directions and places, avoid hurting your fingers, and is more convenient.
It's a relatively soft foot file, so if your feet need a lot of tender love and care, I suggest you get something stronger. This is simply for feet that have a tiny bit of pampering to do.
I find that the surface isn't too harsh which is perfect for sensitive skin as it can hurt. This is very nice and gentle on the feet.
You don't get much life out of this file. The pumice stone wears off fairly quickly. I think I used this about 8-10 times before it wears off and you have to throw it away. It's fine if you file your feet once a week, but when you do it often, multiple times in a week, it's not really efficient.
It does a good job of softening the heels and removing a few pieces of dead skin - but as I said - it's not strong enough to magically remove all that hardness in the feet.
I also recommend using this after you've had a bit of a foot soak - works much better as the skin becomes gentler and softer which is perfect for the soft pumice.
The handle was a real plus with this - it has a good grip and it's a really pretty shade of green.
In terms of getting rid of the dead skin on my heels, it worked well at first, but I found over time that it became less and less effective as it wore down. I wasn't using it more than other comparable files I've used in the past, so I was a little surprised that this one wore down so quickly - I'd say it lasted me about three weeks before it became ineffective. I've had other pedicure files that have done a better job, so I wasn't overly wowed by the long-term performance.
On the plus side, it wasn't overly 'aggressive' when it was still new - I could pumice without getting to that painful point that some pumice stones get to. In that sense, I would recommend this to users with sensitive feet, there is less risk of hitting a painful point in your pumicing.
I've never tried it on wet feet (I had a previous bad experience pumicing wet) so I can't speak to how well it does in that area, but as a dry pumice it works well for a limited time.
Tips: I was happy because I bought this on-sale, but due to the short life span I think I would have been annoyed to pay full price. I'd say go for it if you find this pumice on-sale.
Have used one of these for ages as I'm on my feet for work, and wouldn't be without it. Usually use it after a soak in the bath when foot skin is soft. Gets read of all the rough course skin on the soles/heals. Then I lather on a nice foot cream. I do this a least once a month, and it leaves my feet feeling 100% pampered.
I recently won this on instagram in a prize pack. My feet feel hard on my heals a lot. I normally use pumice or my Scholl Pedi. It was nice to try a different foot file.
This file is light green plastic that feels sturdy. One side has a metal grater looking file. The other has a soft emery board feel to it. On the packet it suggests to file after having a shower. I first tried the metal side to get off rough dry skin. It got my dead skin off nicely without causing any pain to my feet. I used the opposite side to smoothen out my feet.
I think these can be found at selected pharmacies. I'm not sure how long the emery board side will last . I'll return back with the results of that. Price wise it's affordable to buy. I will be using it again as I enjoying it.
