I love a good eye treatment and I was lucky enough to win a full sized product from Next magazine. What can I say...this stuff is liquid gold. I noticed a difference in my eye area pretty much instantaneously as starting this product. An opaque, light gel like fluid, a drop is all you need. Absorbs incredibly well into my skin, and there is a definite 'lift' in this area. I use it predominantly at night, as I feel that night time is nourishing and nuturing time. Price tag is very, very steep and I never could have justified spending that kind of moola on an eye cream. However, if this product lasts twice as long as a regular eye cream, I might just consider it. I would compensate in other areas. THAT'S how good it is.

Tips: Think of it as an investment in yourself.
A pale red currant (ombré) coloured small hard plastic bottle with a nice big lid when I pull that off yay a pump whew so no squirting this serum out wildly and wasting it. One pump is all I need for the delicate skin around both eyes, this is a pearlised coloured serum that has a soft gentle texture, nice and easy to apply also fast absorbing, I don't find it sticky at all, also relatively fragrance free. This is slippery while not slimy it soaks right on in with no stinging or any bad reaction. Makeup goes over top fine with not slipping off.
Morning and night I apply this I then follow with a shiseido eye cream, the results I've had from using this serum is astounding, the delicate skin around my eyes has started to look less in the little lines, the pesky little crisscross ones, I'm finding each day a noticeable improvement in my skin it's started looking more hydrated and dare I say it a little firmer. I'm sure my eye area is looking softer not so dry or tired.
This little jar of serum is fast becoming an all time favourite of mine. I tried a sample first 5 mills, that lasted and lasted, so brought the 15 mills just before I ran out. For results yes try this for me it's most certainly worth every cent if you're after bit of a miracle:)
I was really lucky to score a sample when Farmers was giving out small 5ml tubes of this given that the full-size is over $100. This generous sized sample has lasted me well over two months. The consistency is a thin white gel like serum and it absorbs super well. I find I need a very tiny amount since this spreads so well. The scent is a beautiful floral scent which reminds me of a spray cologne I used to wear when I was younger. It does feel really nice in my eye area. My under eye area was hydrated but it felt light and not heavy and greasy so great for applying eye makeup over. The downside with this product is other than moisturize around my eyes I haven't seen a huge improvement. I still have puffiness and the regular darkness under my eyes. I haven't got a lot of fine lines luckily but even when I put the leftover serum on the key fine lines on my face after I've patted this around my eyes I don't see an improvement on those areas. So I don't think I will be purchasing this. I guess if it was cheaper I would give it a better rating but at that price I would expect more from the product, than to just hydrate and but not leave my eye area greasy.
Tips: Great to apply in the morning before applying eye makeup as it absorbs well and feels light.
Being 34 I'm still new to the wonderful world of eye creams, and when the free sample offer for this popped up I figured it was a great chance to try something new from a company whose skincare and products come highly rated and respected.
To steal Ringy's maths from her review further down the list, this little tube is 1/3 the size of the full product, and is therefore worth a crazy $39... and they just gave it to us! Thanks Shiseido!
The tube is white with dark red writing and a screw cap which - despite the teeny sample tube - is big enough to grip and remove, and not lose, which is awesome. The last thing you want is to lose the lid of the expensive product! I can't comment on the full size packaging, however, as I haven't actually handled the product in it's original size.
The wee dispenser hole hidden under the screw cap allows you to dispense a tiny amount of product - but this is sufficient. Basicall, the amount you actually need is comparable to the heads of those big, colourful balls on the top of the sewing pins I remember using at manual tech in intermediate! Teeny tiny amounts are all you need, which makes this more cost effective.
I don't have a lot of fine lines and wrinkles going on (yet) ((touch wood)) so I can't comment in that respect, but what I have found is that this plumps and refreshes the outer edges of my eyes, making me look more rested and well. My eye area looks dewier and healthier, rather than tired, especially after application at night.
The product is a thin whitish gel cream with a faint scent (just a standard 'product' y scent, nothing discernable), and both the colour and scent vanish quickly on skin.
All in all, this was a genius marketing ploy by Shiseido as I'm now *seriously* considering investing in this product
Tips: If you can sample this, do. It's expensive to buy upfront but it's gorgeous.
I got a mini tube of this as a sample from Farmers when they were running a promotion. Even though I'm only in my 20s and might be a little too early to use eye concentrates, I thought I might give it a go. I've been using a tiny amount on my eyes for quite a few months now to see if it could help with fine wrinkles and the dark undereye. This has an almost gel like texture and feels very smooth when I apply it. It feels as if it's quickly absorbed by my eye area and seems to be quite moisturizing. But aside from moisturizing it doesn't really do much. My fine wrinkles are still there and I still get dark circles. I do however like the little narrow tube that the sample comes in, it's really easy for me to control the amount of product I squeeze out each time. I will not be buying the full sized product.
I got the mini of this some time ago and put it away for when I needed it. Fast forward a bit and I've recently rediscovered it and thought that I better get on with using it.
The product is silky smooth and feels hydrating around the eyes - just don't use too much or get too close to the eyes, otherwise it will sting instead.
I don't have fine lines yet (thank goodness), so I can't comment on it's power there. But as an experience it feels like a luxurious and expensive way to pamper your eyes. That said, I have other eye creams that give me the same experience for around $60, whereas this one is over $100.
I was also lucky enough to get a sample of this thanks to the lovely that posted about it on the forum. I do love a good eye cream even if the jury is out over whether they are a necessity. I've used them for years so I guess I will continue to do so.
This is exactly the kind of eye cream I like. Not so much a cream but more of cream/gel hybrid making it more like a serum. You only need a tiny amount and it absorbs easily. This very generous sample has lasted me ages.
Sadly (or perhaps not, considering the price!) this did not have the same effect for me as it did for some of the other reviewers. Whilst it's pleasant to use, I just didn't see any real difference to my under eye area or fine lines. I prefer my usual eye cream which is a similar consistency and a fraction of the price. But thank you Shiseido for the chance to try it!
Tips: Reading a couple of other reviews apparently you use an eye cream on top of this, this is just a concentrate. Considering the price of this product that seems a bit excessive to me that you have to use yet another product with it.
Two months ago BinaryBeauty posted in the forum about a free sample of this eye concentrate that was available from the Shiseido website. I am forever grateful. I received a voucher to take in store to get a 5ml tube for FREE! It's a third of full size so it was worth $39! Score! I had been using an eye serum previously for a few months but was not getting any results so I started using this one straight away. It is a concentrate not an eye cream so you use it under your regular eye cream. I was instructed to only use a pearl pin head size amount (tiny) and too at it around my eye sockets and not go too close to my eyes. The formula is slightly opaque and thin but not watery so it's easy to get out of the tube without getting too much or dripping it. I have been applying this religiously morning and night (applying as suggested) for almost 2 months now and have to say I'm impressed. It disappears into skin very easily and is unnoticeable under makeup. I have noticed that my eyes are rarely puffy and I can't remember that last time there were bags under my eyes. Crows feet have definitely diminished. I'm liking the texture of the skin under my eyes too, it much smoother looking. I'm just using an Avon eye cream over it - would really love a Shiseido eye cream to get the overall grand results but alas my budget says no at the moment. Two months after I started using this product I still have some left in the tube so even though it's a big upfront expense this product is going to last you a very long time equalling value for money combined with results! I'm really curious about the Ultimune face concentrate now!
Tips: A very little goes a long way.
I received a generous-sized 5ml sample of this from the pharmacy. The packaging was great - a tall thin tube that unscrewed at one end, rather like a mini toothpaste tube. This made it easy to get to and easy to reseal.
As for the product itself, it was an opaque cream, with a lovely silky texture. It was absorbed easily by the skin around my eye area. But… sadly I didn't notice any change in my skin having used it. Maybe this is because wrinkles around the eye area are not my primary concern, or maybe it’s because I usually use good quality eye products anyway, but I just didn’t see a change. Considering the full-sized bottle costs over $100, I would never consider repurchasing.
This product is a game changer. Let’s just get that out of the way before we even start.
Now to the packaging. It comes in a sleek sophisticate container which looks like metal but it actually plastic. It has a metal reflective look to it and it has a red centre, with a slight pink ombre look on the top and bottom of the container. The lid pops off to reveal a pump and that is what dispenses the product. The design is good and I love the packaging because it look high end and expensive and adds a touch of sophistication to my skincare area and routine.
The eye concentrate is something I would compare to a hybrid between a gel and a serum. Its slightly translucent white colour and it thick enough to hold its shape but definitely not a heavy thick product. I found half a pea size is more than enough (if not too much) to use on both my eyes as a little of this product goes a long way, which is a good thing considering the price tag on this product.
I use this product by simply dabbing it around my eye area with my ring fingers! I normally give this product awhile to sink it because I find it needs that time to fully absorb. This isn’t a big issue for me, especially when I use it at night time.
I think this is a product I am really seeing result with. I don’t really have any lines or wrinkles around my eyes yet, but this product is amazing at hydrated my eye area (which will help to stop oncoming wrinkles) as well as making the area look healthy and full! Would I buy it again? Yes I actually would. I will wait till farmers has double points of a gwp going to justify the purchase though.
