This cleanser is great at removing makeup. I don't use waterproof makeup however. The pump is easy to use. However I don't like the very basic chemical scent and it leaves my face feeling very dry.

I am currently using this as my pre cleanse as a makeup remover and I am loving it. I usually use cleansing oil to remove all my makeup but picked this up for cheap, around $10 at countdown and im impressed. It removes all makeup (I don't wear waterproof mascara) so not sure about that, but it does a good job at removing normal mascara. I use it only every night and it hasn't left my skin feeling dry. My face feels and looks clean. Will always buy this as my makeup remover.
This is my favourite makeup remover of all time. It feels really soft and soothing on my face.
The product is in a foaming bottle and I love the colour of the packaging. It is a really pretty light blue colour like the sky. It is really useful that the product is a light foam, which makes it easy to apply on my face and to massage into my skin.
The best part about this product is that you don't need a lot of product to get the job done. I use two pumps and it removes almost all my makeup off. Expect around the eyes, which I find really hard to get my eye makeup off because I'm scared the product might get into my eyes. The packaging said it is an improved formula, which I find really good but I hadn't tried the one before it was improved. So I don't know what it was like before it was improved. The product leaves my skin feeling smooth and oil free.
The result was really unexpected. I would have thought it leave my skin dry but it actually didn't. I have oily skin type, that some product leaves my skin feeling really dry. I was quite surprised when I first used it, it left my face feeling refresh and clean like it said on the packaging.
I think I bought it for a reasonable price but I can't remember how much. I had it for a while now.
I would recommend it to anyone that have oily skin type and people that use quite heavy makeup like me.
Tips: Wet your hands before applying the product on your face. It will make your job much easier.
Like an obedient class captain this product does what it says it would, but can also be a bit boring. It foams, it cleans your face – I can argue that it can be a bit too stripping for the skin for my liking, but it did it's job so I can't blame it right? The pump bottle is sturdy and dispenses the right amount each time for my whole face cleanse. I have since then moved to other cleansers that have more targeted functions like BHA for acne or oil cleansers for makeup.
I have recently found out that I have combination skin and therefore had to change my entire skincare range to suit that. Who knew that I was actually making my skin worse with the skin care regime I had been using for over two years. This is one of the gems I stumbled upon in the supermarket one day a while back. After reading the label I had to give it a free ride in my trolley!
I liked the look of this facial wash out of the many, many others that were surrounding me. The blue bottle caught my eye more than the other mundane bottles. I usually prefer more natural alternatives so was surprised that I chose this 'clinically tested' product.
I have tried a couple of Neutrogena products but not in any depth. This is the first time that I was determined to find the perfect skin care products in the same brand and line. The consistency reminds me of liquid soap but quite thick. It is a silvery colour (that's how I would describe it anyway) that has shimmery tones. It smells quite perfumed but I trudge ahead nonetheless.
I got this for its promise of removing makeup. I previously used makeup wipes which are a fail and most recently an oil cleanse which I liked but left my face oily. I was nervous that rubbing this over my eye areas to get eye makeup off would irritate them. It does irritate them and sting for a second but quickly passes so is doable....just. My makeup comes off just as easily with this than with oil cleanse. Mascara is gone, eyeshadow is outties and no makeup residue is left woohoo! I used a flannel to wipe off excess foam wash and proceed to the next step.
This leaves my face super clean, not oily, not dry, not squeaky like some washes do to my skin. To be honest if I didn't tone and moisturise like I do this would still make my skin feel good on its own.
Fast forward four weeks and day and night use everyday.......I am soooo delighted with the progress my skin has made. Teamed with the toner and moisturiser, honestly my skin is in love with me. It is in the best condition it has been in EVER!!! My skin is always cleaner, my lines have even lessened, WHAT!? My tone is even, my bigger pores around the nose area are non-existent almost. I have teary eyes I am so happy! Get on the wagon girls!
Tips: Team with the toner and moisturiser for best results
Never again will I buy this product! One of the reasons why I decided to give this cleanser a go is because it was heavily advertised on TV by many beautiful celebrities, so I thought "why not..." it seems like a very reliable and popular brand.
I have a very sensitive skin, with redness issues and dry patches. This cleanser has irritated and dried out my skin even more. I felt it was so strong and bad for skin that i would even believe that someone can actually use it. After every wash I had a dry and red skin which is very unusual feeling for it. It didn't feel like it was gentle on skin and had a safe formulation. The fragrance was also not the most pleasant, like it had some alcohol in it. I felt like i was using an intense acne cleanser. for a very oily skin.
Tips: If you start noticing issues with your skin than discontinue using this product.
It took me quite a while to figure out that there is something in Neutrogena products that my skin can't handle. I had an allergic reaction last year where my lips and eyes swelled up and I got a rash. I went to the doctor and he asked me if I had recently started using any new products. At that time, I completely forgot about this cleanser.
I stopped using all products for a while and just rinsed my face with water until the rash got better. I later started using this product again and realised that the same thing was happening so I stopped immediately.
I contacted Neutrogena and they gave me $50 as an 'apology' I suppose.
I've seen many great reviews around, so it could be that I'm just sensitive to some sort of ingredient in it. But I still wouldn't recommend it based on my experience.
This has been part of my routine for a while. It doesnt dry my skin but definitely strips off all the makeup well and easily, you can see the foam change to a beige with the makeup coming off :-) I also like the smell of it and how clean my skin feels afterwards. The only thing i found it didnt help with much was my breakouts, i feel like i need more of an exfoliator as well to really get that dirt out of my pores. For non acne prone skin i would definitely recommend this for a fresh and clean face or even as a good makeup remover. I do find it quite hydrating and gentle just dont get it near your eyes!
I alternate between this one and my dermalogica cleansing gel, Neutrogena is the best supermarket product that has the same quality as salon products, i like to alternate between the two to give my face a rest from the same product. I do find i have to cleanse twice to remove all make up which isn't a problem for me as i cleanse twice anyway but some might find it annoying. I use about two pumps and lather it in my hands before putting on my face. Does the job and a great price compared to the dermalogica one
This cleanser has quite a strong smell, like perfume-y and is probably a little too harsh on my skin as I found it a bit drying (not the fault of the product- someone with the right skin type for this would be fine) The main problem I had with this was that it didn't do a very good job of removing my makeup. It did to a point, but it took quite a bit and was much more time consuming than just using a moisturising makeup wipe and cleansing afterwards.
