OK first off this is seriously pricey and I set my goals pretty high when I purchased this, it was only of those walking around a department store scooping up as many GWP I could and I seriously wanted that Shiseido one and purchased this cleanser and a lipstick to get my hands on it. I was sold by the saleslady...such a guilty, pulse purchase but...my skin is amazing for it.
It comes in a generous sized 125ml bottle which is made up an easy to squeeze plastic and flip top which gives you the power to control how much you squeeze out, which is great as you only need a small pea size mixed with water to give your face a mini bubble spa treatment. I have recently started to add this to my cleansing brush to give it even more power and it happily foams up without becoming too much, or clogging up the brush as you use it.
I have had this now for about 6 months I think and have come and gone back to it over this time but each time I start using it again my skin thanks me, it is so rich that it plumps your skin up that any dry patches that occasionally break out get soothed by the hydration. Not only do I have smoother, cleaner skin but the effect lasts for a few days so I don't need to use this no more than 3 times a week to keep the effect going, which is awesome as I'm fickle and like to swap and change my skincare habits to suit my moods and don't ever get 100% loyal to a brand or method of cleaning.
After rinsing this off of your face you are left with skin that squeaks almost, its quite a refreshing feeling that tells you that your skin is deep down clean. However with some cleansers that give this effect I can get overly dry or breakout, but not with this cleansing foam it is powerful but gentle.
If you are in the market to settle on an highend skincare range than I would most definitely recommend Shiseido and in particular this Rich Cleansing Foam, for myself, will I repurchase it. Probably not as it is expensive and although it is a dream to use and shows its quality. I don't think I could spend that much again unless I get duped into a GWP deal again, then all bets are off.
You would think. logically, if a cleanser is over $100 it must be amazing. It must be incredible. If must be holy grail. You sound just like me, and let me tell you, you are wrong wrong wrong.
This was a cleanser i was gifted (thankfully) from a family friend who loves the brand and thought i would too. I was stoked. I cant afford shiseido so to receive it as a gift was awesome.
This cleanser is packaged simply, but it is classy. It comes in a soft plastic squeeze tube, with a smooth curved lid, and it has a black and grey ombre look to it, with gold writing. Simple, classy and elegant.
This cleanser is kind of like a cream in consistency, but i have to say, something about the smell reminds me of the Marzena hair removal stuff. Its probably just a personal comparison, but still worth mentioning. It may be because the product just smells quite soapy and artificial, im not sure.
A little of this stuff goes a long way, and yes it create a cleansing foam so the product meets its claims here. It removes most of my daily makeup really easily, so im happy about that. The one thing that i am hugely unhappy about is how stripped and squeaky clean my face feels after using this cleanser. Seriously, its feel so stripped, i cant even believe it, especially because it claims to retains skins moisture.
I wont lie, i dont use this on my face anymore because it is too harsh and drying for my skin. Instead im finishing the tube off by using it as a very very expensive body wash, and im just hoping this does not get brought for me again.
