I was gifted this (as well as other items) as a 'Sorry for the hassle' from Lush after purchasing an item with a main feature missing. Lush Customer Service is first class and they went way above and beyond to make sure I was compensated for the mishap.
At first when I smelled this through the plastic wrapper I thought it smelled like fresh cut grass... the after a few days of sitting I thought it smelled like bananas... or rather banana cake more precisely. So I wasn't sure if this was something I would like or not and stashed it for another day.
Roll forward to recent days and a lot of my Lush supply is depleted (well depleted as much as a hoarding Lush addicts stash could be without causing hysterics) and I decided to give it a go.
More grass green inside than out/ outside has a yellow/green iridescence to it that my son called dinosaur bubble. It is two biscuits of bubble bar sandwiched together with a soft icing like substance.
It dissolves well in the bath water and bubbles up alright (not as well as others I have used), we used about a 1/4 of this in one bath and it wasn't enough... much better results with half but it made the skin go grabby and dry. The water went a lime shade of green and it smelled of lightly scented limes mixed with cut grass or green banana peels.. I couldn't quite pin it.
Personal opinion is that it is not something I would buy again for myself... but my son likes his dinosaur bubbles and it is nice to give the kids their bath time treats.
I love lush and love trying all the things. That must be one bonus to living far, far away and not being able to walk into a store to smell things. You see when I see something I haven't tried before I have to wait several days before I get to smell it and see it for the first time. It's like an adults version of a kinda surprise, all the suspense to see what's inside the plastic container. (cardboard box in this case)
This deep green bubbleroon looks like a macaron, two round discs with a cream type filling in the centre. I do love the vibrant deep green colour of this bubbleroon.
The scent is a lime citrusy scent, it's only a subtle scent though nothing wowing. It also has another scent that I can't quite place. I do love how this bubbleroon is full of lustre.
I hold it under the running tap and feel slightly sad as it doesn't really produce many bubbles just a few slightly foamy looking bubbles it turns the bath water to a lovely light green shade. The scent only just noticeable the addition of the lustre leaves the water all sparkly and in my opinion redeems this bubbleroon slightly. What can I say I love sparkly things.
It doesn't leave my skin feeling overly moisturised or soft afterwards and I couldn't detect any of the scent on my skin afterwards either. It's only an average bubbleroon for me it's nothing special and the only love was the lustre. Probably wouldn't purchase again.
