Clinique Pore Refining Solutions Instant Perfector Review

I have quite an oily nose and recently my pores have been quite visible leading to my nose seeming even oilier and the shine appearing much quicker when I am wearing makeup up.

First off, this is not a pore shrinking solution, it is a temporary pore concealer, it will not shrink your pores.

When I apply this product, I use my regular primer everywhere else, but leave my nose and the surrounding couple of cms free. I use my fingers to apply this product as I do not own a stiff enough brush to really work the product in with.

After application I leave it to sit for a minute or so before applying my foundation. I do see a difference immediately when I use the Instant Perfector, my foundation applies and sits nice on my nose, and it definitely takes a lot longer for an oily shine to appear.

I would say that it does not last the full eight hours on myself, but it does give me an additional 3/4 hours of non shininess.

I do not think that I will repurchase this product as I would like to find/try out some other similar products.

It basically did what the name states - instant pore refining, but after I've applied it for a few hours, pores begin to appear again. I would only use it for when I need that instant quick fix, but not something I would use everyday to help reduce my pores permanently. The good thing is that you only need to use a little bit each time. It feels really light on the skin and absorbs quickly. If you have oily skin, then this may be a product that you want to use before putting on makeup, as it'll give that nice matte finish. However, as stated before, the effects only last a few hours, definitely won't last the 8-hours as claimed. So you may need to carry it around with you for touch-ups later in the day
