When I did a decent haul of Origins stuff from the US, I got a big goodie bag with a whole bunch of Origins minis to try. I've been using this in conjunction with my glycolic toner as I wanted something soothing to layer on top. This is a soothing lotion serum, it has that sort of masculine scent that I think the rest of the line has to some degree, this doesn't smell as strong as the toner though. When I apply this on my face it does feel calming and some of the heat I get from applying a glycolic toner goes away. It's lightly hydrating I wouldn't say I get a huge moisture or hydrating boost from this so I think this would be fine for people with oily skin. I did use this during the summer and it didn't feel too heavy just more like a light moisturizer. I was definitely able to layer a slightly heavier moisturizer on top. I find I don't need a whole lot which is great since this is really expensive. It is loaded with a lot of natural ingredients and I didn't see any fragrance on the list of ingredients, which probably why it smells the way it does. Now although it did calm my skin I don't think it's something that another natural skincare product that is more affordable could do. I guess if you have really sensitive skin and nothing else works this could be worth it for you, but as someone with not overly sensitive skin I couldn't justify the spending the 96 bucks that Mecca is asking for this product at the time of this review. I'll probably look into more affordable skincare for sensitive skin.
Tips: Definitely get a tester pot of this from Mecca before shelling out the cash. If you have sensitive skin I would recommend trying other natural skincare brands first as I'm pretty sure there's something that is more affordable than this out there that might work for you.
