This product is an extreme exfoliater & skin smoother, it resurfaces skin by removing a thin layer of old skin when used correctly. I used this on my face and also on a few stretch marks on my hips, it left my face very smooth, kept it clear & bright and i'm not really sure whether it did anything to smooth stretch marks ot not.. Although i think it is helpful to do this treatment prior to applying oils/serums in allowing them to penetrate deeper into the pores/ absorb into the skin more sufficiently.
I scoop a small amount of product from the jar with my finger tip and massage the product with water for about 5 minutes, dabbing with a bit more water when it becomes dry or more product if needed. After 5 minutes massaging allow the product to dry up rubbing vigorously and a thin layer of skin will peel off, after peeling rinse off and apply oils/ creams/ moisturizer.
(This cream is laden with tiny crystals that essentially scratch at the surface of the skin to remove old/dead layers almost like a sandpaper affect but it is not painful at all.)
Although i like this product the first thing that comes to mind when i think of it is ridiculously over-priced. It got way too expensive to be repuchasing every 3-4 weeks it would run out, i've since found a much more affordable alternative.
Really disappointed with this product, it promised a lot and delivered very little. It is hard work to apply - you have to massage the cream continuously into the problem area for 5 full minutes, until you notice the top layer of skin peeling away. I used it on my stretch marks on my belly. WOW, what an arm workout! Rubbing for so long was tedious, it made my skin feel red raw, and left my arms aching. I persevered anyway, and used the whole pot, but honestly? The results were minimal considering the effort involved. I didn't repeat my purchase, and wouldn't recommend it.
