The way Lush's Dashing Santa bath bomb is marketed, you expect a bath bomb that wizzes around your bath tub. Well let me tell you right now people, it does not. And while I didn't really expect it to, I did expect it to be a high energy fizzy bath bomb. Which it wasn't that either.
When you put the dashing santa bath bomb in the bath, you see streams of red and gold slowly coming out and floating around in the water nearly. To get the bath bomb to really mix into the whole bath, you have to wait ages and/or agitate the bath water.
What I did like was the citrus smell. It wasn't as strong as I'd hoped but still a lovely smell. I also loved that Lush used a traditional santa model and his golden boots were a pretty cool colour to add to the red bath water.
Overall however I was disappointed.
I love Christmas, I love the different scents that come out i want all the pretty things.
When it arrived wrapped in its cellophane suit, it looked quite cute. It's about the size of your palm and an inch thick.
I pop it into the bath and watched as the red foam came bubbling to the surface, this turned the bath to a light shade of red, complete with lustre a bath bomb isn't a bath bomb without lustre. The scent is very mild I can only pick up a slight orange citrus scent but nothing I can really define. And because it was on the smaller side I didn't really notice any difference to how my skin felt afterwards or notice any scent linger.
I think this would be perfect for kids, especially if you have wee'uns that like to copy mummy, and feel a bit special. I wouldn't use it again myself because I prefer the more powerfully scented bath bombs.
