La Roche Posay® Pure Niacinamide 10 Serum

My first thoughts on this product were what is it for? I found the packaging a little difficult to understand and didn't really know what purpose this serum served other than helping dark spots (which I don't really have). But since using it I have been pleasantly surprised. I suffer from redness and broken capillaries. Since using this they have calmed down and are less noticeable. I have also noticed my skin feels softer and I have had less breakouts. I do have dark under eye circles - this has made no difference to them (although I have had these most of my life so wouldn't expect anything to help).

I couldn't find on the packaging how much to use, do I have been using 1 drop morning and night. This seems to be enough. The serum is white with no detectable smell. I have sensitive skin and this has not irritated it at all. It is very hydrating so I have been using it instead of a moisturizer with sunscreen on top.

My only negative is the packaging. I'm sure if you knew what it was for you would have no problems, but for someone who has a basic skincare routine such as myself I personally wouldn't have picked this up off the shelf.

I have been using the Niacinamide 10 serum once a day for about 2 weeks now. I have been using it in the morning after cleansing, followed by my moisturiser and spf.

I’ll start with the one thing I find annoying about this product and that’s the packaging. The pipette is wide and the tip of it is the same width, usually droppers will taper down to a nice point. This meant that if there was any product on the outside of the tube when you put it back in the bottle, it would drip down the lip and make a mess. Apart from that it’s nice weighty glass fine overall.

Onto the actual product. My skin is definitely looking nice. I was talking to a friend on FaceTime who I hadn’t seen in a while and she even mentioned ‘your skin is looking really good and glowy’ so I’ll take that as a win! I have also been rubbing the excess into the backs of my hands which has been nice.

I feel like my skin is less red too which is definitely a bonus. I really like the formulation and will repurchase this product in future!

I was super lucky and was on the trial team for this serum. I have been using this serum for nearly a month now and I can confirm it is a product I will purchase and continue to use. Firstly the feel of it on the skin is amazing. It's a silky smooth texture and rubs in and absorbs so well leaving my skin with a slight glow and hydrated look. I also think it had helped with my fine lines around my eye area since its hydrating, they don't look quite as prominent. I do have hyperpigmentation from pregnancy and I thought this may help as it claims to help with darker spots. The pigmention may be slighter lighter and even a couple spots from acne scarring. It does say you need to be using it for atleast 4 weeks and constant use to see the dark spots reduce so time will tell if it does continue to help reduce the darker spots of hyperpigmentation but I do think it has helped a wee bit. The serum comes in a 30ml bottle with a eye dropper applicator. The eye dropped I feel isn't quite the best, it's quite wide compared to the bottle opening so when placing it back into the bottle it is easy to rub the dropper along the opening of the bottle which leaving it round the rim which can waste it. Also the dropper doesn't always pick up a consistent amount. I really have enjoyed trialling this product and definitely will repurchase. I love the way it gives my skin a healthy hydrated glow and feels so amazing on.

I was really excited about trying this product as it claimed to help hydrate the skin and reduce dark spots - both things I've noticed more since turning 40!

The packaging and bottle are nice and simple, the dropper comes separately in the box. I found that the dropper wasn't the easiest to use and the amount of product that it dispensed varied each time.

The serum itself was a great smooth, non oily texture and it felt light on the skin and absorbed easily.

After the first few days of using the product I noticed that my skin was looking slightly red, I skipped the product for a day and the redness went away and it also didn't return when I started using it again. I felt that my skin felt slightly more hydrated than when using moisturizer alone but I didn't notice any change to the dark spots.

Overall the benefits weren't enough for me to rate this product highly.

I am so happy to be part of this trail. Nowadays Niacinamide is becoming more popular than ever. Niacinamide is one of the best ingredients for our skin barrier. It helps with acne and texture, leaves the skin smooth and bright. Help to reduce redness, dark spots or marks due the acne. My experiences has been really good to control oilyness, and acne marks. My skin looks brighter and smoother after two weeks of using. The oly thing I did not lile was the botle and aplicator. This serum is between a gel and lotion. I think a bottle with a pumb should be better for it. It has a little of fragance, and I do not have any reacction or irritation.

I'm so pleased that I put my hand up to trial the La Roche Posay Pure Niacinamide 10 Serum! I've heard of the La Roche Posay brand, and have read great reviews about some of their other products, but this is the first of their products that I've tried.

Nice quality packaging and bottle, with quite a thick glass dropper.

The serum is thick but not at all heavy. It is non-greasy and it absorbs nicely into the skin. The colour is really cool too, it's opaque but it almost has a very light blue-ish shimmer to it.

After applying it, my skin felt very hydrated - and it quickly calmed any redness on my face, including pimples. I always applied it at night, and the next day my skin felt smooth - so I assume that is the gentle exfoliator doing it's job.

In the short time I have used this I have already noticed a difference in my pigmentation, especially across my forehead and cheeks. Given that I have already begun to notice an improvement, I plan to keep using this and am excited to see the results.

I have looked online, and the product sits around the $75 - $85 mark from what I can see. While this isn't a 'cheap' product, it's by no means the most expensive serum on the market, and I feel it's good value. You really don't need to apply much, so the bottle will last for ages.

I LOVE THIS PRODUCT! It felt so lovely applying it and didn't leave a sticky or tightening feeling. I look forward to my skincare routine when I use this. The smell is fresh and light. The only downside I found was the dropper, the end is flat and not round...it was hard to suck the product up. I have been applying it with my fingers in a circular motion. The packaging is nice and simple (much like other serums). I would buy this again with no hesitation. It is pricer than I would normally pay but after trying it, I don't think I could go back

Firstly I love the packaging’s d the bottle , my favourite colour is purple! Simple and easy to use , with very clear instructions.

A milky white serum that spreads really easily and is smooth , not sticky . I found it really hydrating . I love anything that has hyaluronic acid in it as it’s such a staple for hydrating skin. Who doesn’t want hydrated skin .

I noticed no reduction in dark spots or blemish spots , pores unfortunately stayed the same . I had really hopes for this serum and I would really like to try the rest of the range from this company .

But I cannot use highly scented facial products that have a floral fragrance to them as it gives me migraines . I have since given to my 20 year old Daughter with blemish marks and large pores . So far she loves it and I’m excited for her to see a reduction in her blemish marks and hydrate and brighten her skin .

The first thing I noticed when I opened the bottle was the pearlescent purple colour and the nice light scent (I can't tell what the scent is, but I like it!). It goes on super smooth and absorbs really quick. After applying it my skin looks and feels smoother and my skin tone is more even with reduced Pore size. I haven't noticed a difference in dark spots, but this isn't a huge concern for me

The results, however, don't seem to be longterm. They only seem to last for an hour or so after applying it, but this could definitely be due to the fact I've only been using it for a few weeks.

I'm excited to continue using it and hopefully see some longer term results!
