In summer when you want to go out. You'll definitely need this. It's a must. I hate sun hitting my skin and then I get peeling. Sun screen is good and helps not get sunburnt. I think you can also wear it and go swimming which is nice but I'm not sure. I still carry a spray one usually or a little tube. It's also good giving one to everyone in the family so they are protected and they come In little packs. When I go on school trips I take one always because it's just something that doesn't let your skin get damaged from the sun.
There's so many different sunscreen brands out now. Cancer Society is such a good foundation. When my mum was sick with Cancer they gave lots of support. I wanted to try their products because I know that they are a conpany that gives back to New Zealanders.
I was given a large pump bottle of this sunscreen. It's a sturdy bottle. The plastic thats used is really thick and durable. I found the pump easy to use. The texture of this suncreen is just like a moisturiser. It doesn't leave a white film like other sunscreens do. I like to use it all over my body in Summer. When I swim I do need to re apply more sunscreen. I didn't notice a scent. One bottle lasted me a couple of months.
I believe this suncreen is a great staple to use for a family. Price wise sunscreens can be quite expensive. I notice sales pop up in the off season of summer. Thats when I purchase my sunscreen and stock up for summer. Over all a great item to buy and I will be buying more.
I like the value for money found in the big pump container. It can sit on the counter and everyone can see and apply it. The sunscreen itself goes on nicely, is not too thick and absorbs quickly. It does not last as long as some of the other products out there so it is still important to reapply it which can be tricky if you are out and about. I continue to buy this product.
I buy this for my whole family so it makes sense that I use it too. I do however find that it's a bit too greasy to use under my make up so prefer to use something different on my face. Apart from this factor I am impressed by this sunscreen. I love that it comes in a variety of sizes so it's perfect for having one in the car, in your bag and in the cupboard. The pump bottle is super handy because even my young son can pump it out and maintain his independence. I love that the Cancer Society is on this bottle because it makes me feel safe and secure in the knowledge that it comes straight from the cancer awareness organisation.
The smell of this is quite pleasant compared to other sunscreens. I don't like obvious smelling ones but a light scent is ok. The texture is a thick creamy consistency and I find that it spreads very easily but leaves a filmy residue. I don't mind this on my body but on my face it makes me feel oily. I reapply every two hours as suggested to maintain my coverage from the sun and this has served me well each summer. I hardly ever get sun burn because I have become so religious about putting sunscreen on. The only problem is I find it hard to remember to put it on in Winter.
I do find that the price for sunscreen in general could be cheaper considering it really is a necessity to keep our skin protected. I find that as the brand gets bigger the price does too!! This is frustrating for me because it is so necessary. I have been caught out with expiration dates before by not using the sunscreen fast enough. I found that I was using it after the expiration and as a result my skin actually burnt even after having sunscreen on and within three quarters of an hour of having applied it.
It's so surprising because I know it's not an anti-aging product but my skin has felt and looked so much better since using this all over my body. I only just took advice from my fellow BR babes about wearing sunscreen even in winter and my skin honestly feels amazing for it. I guess the environment plays a bigger part in how our skin feels than I thought. Slip, slop, slap and wrap Aotearoa!
Tips: Take note of expiration date and remember to slip, slop, slap and wrap even in winter x
I'm a huge fan on sunscreen, and use it religiously even in winter. Its an essential in my daily skincare routine, but have to admit in winter i only use it on my face since the rest of my body is all rugged up.
This used to be the only sunscreen i used, simply because it was the one my family used, and so it was accessible, and most importantly, brought for me.
It comes in navy blue packaging which is adorned with the cancer society logo, which i don't know about you, but it makes me think this is the real deal, and the best you can buy.
A bonus of this product is that is comes in heaps of different sizes, so is pretty easy to find one that suits your needs.
As for the product itself. Well it's okay, its white, and quite thick. It has the distinctive sunscreen smell which i don't overly mind. However, i do find the is a bit hard to rub into skin, its not a big deal but it just make it less convenient to use. Plus it doesn't absorb as quickly as i would like, and leaves that greasy feeling which i just don't like.
Another negative for this product is i once spilled some on my black jeans, and boy did it stain them. Its wierd because it hasn't stained any of my other clothes, but now im on the paranoid side when i use this product.
Overly, not my favourite sunscreen, in fact-no where near my favourite sunscreen. Won't be repurchasing this again unless im desperate.
This is an amazing product. I mainly use this one in summer time as it is easy to access as its available in most supermarkets and The Warehouse.
It is a creamy lotion texture and is easy to absorb and a it spreads easily and does not go on greasy. Another bonus is that the smell isn't too strong. like that it comes in a couple of different sizes so that you can keep one in your handbag or car and the larger size in your bathroom at home.
Tips: Follow instructions carefully to know when to reapply and to avoid burning
This is my go to sunscreen. It is cancer society approved what more can I say, it must great then. I go camping for about 1-2 months of my holiday during christmas as I am teacher at my favourite spot every year and I always have this sunscreen on hand. My family uses it and any guests to the camp site uses it. It protects my skin from the sun, I don't get sunburnt from using it. I do apply the sunscreen every 3 hours or after a swim. It does leave a slightly greasy film on the skin, but if you are camping and your appearance isn't a thing then it won't bother you plus it's to protect you. I usually purchase the sunscreen with the pump as it is easier to apply and to get product out. Great sunscreen. Just don't get any in your eye because it does irritant it, i've learned from experience.
Iv brought this product and used it on both myself and my children. I liked how it was really easy to apply (even in a rush while my kids are trying to get away) and once applied it doesn't leave that yucky feeling on your skin like you have a extra layer on. I'd defiantly buy it again.
Although sunscreen is super important especially in Summer when the sun is a bit harsher, I do find it hard to find one that doesn't feel too thick or oily. This sunscreen made me breakout as I have quite oily skin already and I can practically feel this cream clogging up my pores. It does it's job and is good at protecting you from UV rays but it's probably better for people with less oily and breakout-prone skin.
