This little hand cream would be perfect for travel or left in the car for dry hand emergencies, the scent is similar to a floral like scent and you just need a small amount for your hands. I've used everyday for a week and it takes away the dryness in my hands instantly but then need to reapply hour or so later. Slight difference in the softness of my hands but nothing dramatic:)

Tips: Use a small amount
This Alpine Silk hand and nail creme is your average nana moisturiser. The dated packaging, a white plastic tube with a tacky image of a sheep, is enough to put you to sleep. It is an inexpensive product, does it’s job, but wool (!) not excite the senses. Very commercial smelling. It is a decent moisturiser, for sure, but you won’t “have a field-day” using it. Sorry- the puns are the most exciting part of this. I didn’t notice any significant change in the condition of my hands or nails.
A lovely hand cream product with a lovely scent. It hydrates the hands well. I didn't reach for thisnlroduct as much as the collagen everyday cream, but if you are looking for a good everyday hand and nail cream, being an organic New Zelaand product- it's a good option!
I loved the smell of this product and I desperately wanted to like it just based on that alone, but unfortunately it was too thin and I didn’t find it moistures my hands at all and the cream just felt like it disappeared
I was really excited to give this hand and nail creme a try because mine get so dry in this awful cold weather.
Its a really nice texture, not to thick and gluggy. You know the type that leaves a kind of waxy residue on your hand afterwards - it wasn't like that. So texture was great for me.
Scent was pleasant. Not typically my type of scent, a bit too floral and intense but it was okay. It did linger for quite a while, which would be great if it was something you really liked, but not for me.
I love that it is organic, and has lanolin and vitamin E in its ingredients. Love being able to use natural things and that it is paraben free. These things are really important to me so it definitely plays a part in if I would purchase it again.
I feel like the packaging makes it look like a tourist product and one that would be overpriced for what it is. I'm not sure if it is the strange sheep or the snowy mountain ranges on the label, but I don't like it. I feel like this is something you would purchase from a souvenir store.
Great that its made in New Zealand - love to support local businesses, but unfortunately this one wasn't for me.
Tips: It flows freely from the tube, so be careful when applying.
Does the job. Moisturizes well without leaving a sticky film like some hand creams do. Simple Packaging and not too big so would suit the handbag. I'm not a fan of the fragrance however. Obviously it smells like Lanolin - but there is a "chemically" Fragrance that I find a little overwhelming.
Firstly we'll start with the packaging, a simple squeezy tube which you'll commonly find your hand creams in, practical and easy to use. The graphics though, like the face cream, scream more souvenir and less bathroom/handbag staple.
The cream itself is a medium consistency, not super runny but not too thick either, it absorbed into my hands quickly. Im a barista so my hands do get thrashed at work and are often dry, this done a good enough job at keeping them hydrated.
A downfall of this cream in my opinion is the fragrance, it has a very heavy floral scent. While I don't mind a bit of fragrance in my hand cremes, I did not like the floral smell.
This is not an item I would purchase again for myself, however it is the kind of item I may consider as a gift (probably for a non-Kiwi!)
I really struggled with this hand cream because of it's very overpowering scent. It is very floral and the scent lingers a long time after application.
It's a shame as I was so excited to try this due to having really dry hands at the moment due to Christchurch's cold winter.
The moisturiser its self is a thinner consistency that is absorbed in quickly. The type of hand cream you chuck in your handbag to use on the go. My hands did feel nice and soft after using this product.
The packaging is a good size and the sheep on the front is cute or weird depending on your personality.
I won't be using this one again but my workmate is happy to have had it donated to her.
I was so excited to try this hand and nail cream, but was soon disappointed. The first thing that hit me when I opened it was a sharp, powdery floral which I found overpowering. The cream has a nice consistency though and absorbed into my hands without any greasiness or residual slipperiness which is great if you need to apply regularly throughout the day. They also stayed nice and soft after applying. I was only able to use it a few times though, as my hands reacted to it and ended up being red and itchy (this has happened to me before and can be triggered by artificial fragrances). I then gave it to my mum and she loves it so.......each to their own!
Tips: If you have sensitive skin I would recommend using the tester in store so you can check it out for yourself and make sure that you don't have a reaction to it
This is a nice simple hand cream with a pleasant scent that absorbs easily and doesn’t give your hands that greasy feeling you sometimes get with hand creams. Comes in a nice sized tube and is easy to apply. I don’t have particularly dry hands but it has dealt well to the winter dryness that I get. I would say for very dry hands you would want something a bit thicker and richer, or to apply more than daily.
Tips: A nice sized tube to keep in your desk or glove box.
