Nice bright packaging. This product contains all the ingredients you would expect in a rejuvenating serum, collagen, vitamins and gold flakes. You can see the flakes in the serum and they are in each application. Nice squeezy syringe makes it easy to use. This product was not for me and I found it very drying. My skin has now broken out is very sensitive. I will not continue to use this product.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this serum as I've never used any honey based skincare so this was a new thing for me.
The bottle has a soft squeeze top and dropper for dispensing the serum and was very easy to use. Most serums I have used in the past have been a slightly thicker consistency, so I was a bit surprised that this was more runny, almost a full liquid. However it had a pleasant texture and very little odour. Visually the serum was slightly milky with gold flecks throughout.
Because it was runny, I ended up using too much the first few applications, leaving my face a little greasy. But after I figured out the right amount to dispense, the product absorbed quickly, leaving my skin soft and comfortable, with no irritation. I mainly used it at night before bed as this is the most convenient way for me to use serum.
My skin continued to feel soft during the trial, but visually I didn't notice much difference. It may be that I needed more time using the product to see results, but with the time I had, results were minimal.
In the end, I would conclude that although this was a nice serum visually and feel wise, the lack of results meant I cannot recommend it.
This serum comes in a cute glass bottle with a dropper. I also liked the lovely bright yellow box it came in, it was eye catching and made me think of the sun and nature.
I was very attracted to the ingredients which reflect skin enhancing properties, like collagen and placenta, and aloe vera and vitamin C. I have been using it twice daily and find it quite nice. It is thick and clear, but absorbs quickly. It doesn't leave any sticky residue like some manuka honey products can. It leaves my skin feeling smooth and clear and ready for moisturiser.
I do giggle when I look closely and find a gold flake somewhere on my face. A small amount of sparkle - that probably looks like dust to anyone else! It doesn't matter, I love gold so I'm liking it.
Overall a pretty good product. I would use it again. I feel that it's a product that would show better results over a longer term.
Tips: Apply to clean skin and allow to absorb before applying a nice moisturiser.
I love waterbased face serums as oil based ones are just that: face oils, not serums. So I picked this up excitedly for a great price and I have used up a whole bottle of this and it didn’t break me out, wasn’t drying, definitely didn’t do any damage. But did it do anything good? I’m not sure, it felt nice and moisturising tapping it into my skin at night, but I haven’t noticed any lasting difference to my skin at all. I really liked the ingredients in it and the consistency was nice, dropper and glass packaging was luxurious, but when I ran out of it and just used my usual night cream there was no difference to my skin in the morning at all. I won’t repurchase and I’m glad I haven’t paid full price, sadly this just didn’t do anything for me or effects can’t be seen!?
I have tried this every day since receiving this, at this stage I think there has been a very slight improvement in some of my fine lines - I applied on my crows feet by my eyes, a slightly deeper line on my cheek, around my lips and on some forehead lines. Probably the noticeable result so far is the deep line on my cheek looks slightly reduced. Before making a decision as to whether it truly works and if I would purchase again, I think more time is needed. The serum is attractive with the gold flakes, and the serum felt nice to apply and was definitely fast absorbing. The bottle will last a long time since you only need a small amount on your troublesome areas.
Tips: Use sparingly, only a little is needed.
To be honest, the ingredient listing put me off a little, I’ve read the benefits of placenta, but that doesn’t mean I want it on my face. The bottle and dropper definitely look fancy, although I found myself wondering about the 23 carat gold flakes, I was concerned they would look like glitter on my skin - but they didn’t at all! They are so fine they almost disintegrate. It smooths into your skin easily and in non greasy, but it didn’t have quite the plumping effect of other products I have used, but it does smooth the lines a little, prolonged use may prove the best option with this product.
I had quite a giggle to myself reading comments about the gold flakes such as "I didn’t want to look like I had been crafting with my daughter" and "I was concerned they would look like glitter on my skin" in the reviews below before grabbing this from the Beauty Vault.
My beauty therapist has been on at me to start using a serum on my combination skin and I'd just run out of the Alpine Silk Rosehip Oil which I loved and comes in the same gorgeous glass dropper bottle.
Being water based and oil free the serum was of an unexpected consistency. It dropped out in a single, gold flecked glob which I then smoothed into my skin, paying extra attention to areas where fine lines are appearing. The product has a subtle scent and absorbed nicely, with one rogue gold flake left on my cheekbone I didn't mind remaining there being an evening at home. My skin did feel replenished but I still needed moisturiser afterwards. I will definitely incorporate this into my daily routine.
Tips: You will still need to use a moisturiser afterwards so pick one which works nicely with this product.
Made in New Zealand, The Alpine Silk Manuka Honey Ultra Rejuvenating Serum is a fast-absorbing serum that is water based and oil free. It is enriched with Gold Flakes, Placenta, Collagen, Aloe Vera and Vitamin E and has naturally derived ingredients.
The serum is like a watery jelly and encased in an eyedropper style bottle. The gold flakes can be easily seen in the serum, but when massaged into the skin, they dissolve.
Anti-bacterial, antioxidants and anti-aging seem to be the potential benefits of this serum. At this stage I haven't noticed anything, but will comment below if I see any changes after using this serum for another month or two.
For someone who enjoys NZ Made products, this is a deluxe serum.
This product came in a glass bottle with a dropper cap. Its filled with little gold flakes and a goldish colour gel-like liquid. I dropped some of the liquid on my fingertips and massaged it into my skin. It absorbs easily and quickly. My first thought was that I might have a trace of gold glitter after applying, but was pleasantly surprised, it absorb wonderfully. A little goes a long way, so no need to apply too much. I quite like the product. It does leave your skin feeling softer and smoother. I have seen some difference in spots clearing up a lot faster than normal. This might have something to do with the Aloe Vera and anti-bacterial properties in the product. Overall I would recommend this product to friends and family.
This product is enriched with Gold flakes, Placenta, Collagen, Aloe Vera and Vitamen E.
the first time I tried it, it stung my face and again the second time but further use it stopped doing that. the bottle is attractive, I like that it is see through so you can see the gold flakes in it, which is obviously the selling point of the whole product. the packaging I flet was quite plain, and looked to be trying to sell actual honey instead of a face product. the only instructions on the pack was 'gently massage a small amount of serum into fine lines and smooth in until fully absorbed into skin. and that was it. do you do your whole face? or just follow any lines? so you need to follow it up with an addition moisturizer? do you use it at night or in the day? I feel their could have been more detailed instructions (usually the manufacturers rave over their own products on the box) and don't usually use vaguely described products I'm not familiar with. I liked the dropper and the glass bottle, not worrying about spills or leaking. after using it for the specified days, I saw very little change in my appearance. will I buy this product again? probably not. I feel it is an unnecessary item I can do without. would I recommend it to a friend? not sure on that one.
