Alpine Silk Rosehip Recovery Face Mask Reviews

I found this face mask to be super creamy. It smells pleasant and not chemically. The face mask is super easy to apply and you don’t meet too too much. I found that the face mask made my face feel smooth and also helped my reddness disappear. I would use this product again.

I have never actually used a face mask like this one before so was excited about trialling this product. I have been using the Rosehip oil daily and wanted to use them together.

So as with the packaging for the oil I thought that packaging for this mask was a little "old fashioned", the colouring and the rose - however it wouldn't put m e off buying it now that I have tried it :) It is pretty and does catch the eye I guess.

It comes in a plastic jar which is easy to undo and do up, it doesn't have the plastic top thing that some creams have which is fine (in fact probably easier in my opinion). The texture is nice and creamy and smooth and smells nice, not too strong and overpowering.

I cleansed my face well with an organic cream cleanser as I normally do, then patted dry and applied a decent amount of the mask, left it for about 15 mins as instructed them washed off with warm water and a wash cloth. The result was my skin did feel instantly smoother and sort of refreshed :)

I can't say much more as I need to use it for a bit longer to get more benefits I would say, but I am interested to see if it helps with the collagen production as I definitely need that as I'm not far off 50!!

I like this face mask and I will continue to use it along with the Rosehip oil and believe that this will improve my skin with continued use.

This mask has been designed to provide deep nourishment to your skin as well as encourage the natural production of collagen. It has organic rosehip oil that treats the face, penetrating into the skin to repair and replenish.

It absorbs quickly to relieve dry skin and boost moisture levels. The organic rosehip oil helps to improve texture for smoother looking skin & contains sweet almond oil, which helps sooth and calm skin cells.

Generously apply mask to a cleansed face and neck and leave for 15-20 minutes. Wash off gently with warm water and pat dry, Easy.

The pakaging is basic but pretty, I then checked the website & they have updated this to a really nice more modern pacakaging. The price is super reasonable, though the only online stockist i could find was on trademe. I will continue to use this weekly to hopefully see some amazing long term benefits.

I was thrilled to be able to trial this product as I'd heard of Alpine Silk but hadn't had the chance to try it. I'm always on the lookout for creamy, hydrating, products for my aging skin.

The product comes in a cute pink box, and inside is a cute pink pot with a twist top. The product itself is covered with a plastic cover.

This beautiful mask is luxurious, thick and creamy. I've been applying it every night, generously as directed, and leaving it on for 20 minutes before washing it off. After removing my skin feels clean and smooth and soft. The product claim is that it will provide deep nourishment to skin as well as encouraging the production of collagen. I'd say it does this well. The sweet almond oil is a great addition and does soothe and calm my skin as it says it will. It is gentle and doesn't irritate any sensitive patches on my face. Given it is so gentle, it would be good for all skin types.

As far as masks go, this one is lovely and certainly as good as the best ones I've tried to date. I do recommend it.

The mask includes the natural ingredients of sweet almond oil and rosehip oil.The inclusion of collagen to improve texture is an added bonus. I love that its made in NZ and is paraben free. The packaging matches the rest in this line - a rose pink box with a 3D rose image on it. It’s pretty but a tad old fashioned. Alpine Silk have used the entire packaging/tub to provide as much information as possible about the product including a use by date. The mask comes in a white plastic jar with a screw top lid. When you open the lid, there is a plastic inner seal that keeps the contents fresh and stops the jar's contents from drying out. I like the fact that there will be no wastage of product compared to if it was in a tube. The mask has a slight rose scent, not overpowering. Its texture is creamy and smooth making it easy to apply onto the skin. Before I applied the mask to my face, I did a test patch on my neck and the inside of my wrist, to check for sensitivity and irritation. I have mature combination skin and this winter I have experienced an increase in dryness particularly on my cheeks. This mask spreads beautifully and only a thin layer is needed to do the job. There is no applicator so I used a brush for a cleaner and more even application. I left the mask on for 15 minutes as per the instructions then rinsed off with warm water and a face cloth. My skin felt deeply cleansed, soft and revitalised. It felt beautifully nourished, I would say thanks to the sweet almond and rosehip oils. It looked glowing and hydrated. I would definitely use this mask in winter when my skin needs a little more nourishment and hydration, particularly coupling it with the Organic Rosehip Oil. I didn’t notice the effects of the collagen but I assume I would need to use the mask for longer to be able to notice a difference to fine lines and skin tone. I have also used the mask on my hands, leaving it on for 15 minutes. After washing it off I found I had smooth soft hands which responded well to an application of hand cream. Using this product is really easy which is a huge plus. After 15 minutes my skin is rejuvenated and hydrated with a beautiful glow.

This face mask comes in a gorgeous little pot. It smells like roses and is not over powering. I apply it all over my face and leave for 10-15 minutes and then wash off. This mask left my dull dry skin feeling silky smooth and hydrated. My skin also smelt devine after using it. I would highly recommended. What a treat!

I was super excited to try out this face mask because the product claims were calling my name. I mean, who doesn't want smoother, younger looking skin?!

As always, I'll start with the packaging. I really like the combination of the white tub with the pink labels and the thin gold strip around the lid which adds a little touch of sophistication. The mask itself is white and looks like any typical cream product. You get 100g of product in the tub which will last a while as a little goes a long way! It also has a soft rose scent which I quite liked.

I would say the consistency of the mask if perfect. Its not thick and gluggy but not thin and watery either. When I first applied the mask I instantly felt a cooling sensation followed by some light tingling which didn't last long.

After washing off the mask my skin felt soft, plump and hydrated. Unfortunately my skin is currently breaking out due to another product that I have been trialing in conjunction with this one so I can't comment on any change in texture just yet. But in saying that, I have noticed that I don't have as many milia as usual.

I will happily keep using this mask in my search for smoother, younger looking skin!

The Alpine Silk Rosehip Recovery face mask comes in a cute little pink box, it has a nice rose scent, I don't usually like rose-scented things, especially on the face as the smell can be quite overwhelming, but this was nice and subtle. It is quite a thick product so I used a foundation brush to apply it. On application, the cream was extremely cold, I had only been keeping it on the vanity in my bathroom, but it is winter so I'm not sure if it is cold due to being in a cold room, or if the product is always this cold, I loved it, the cold sensation instantly soothed my skin and made my face feel refreshed. The instructions say to leave it on for about 15-20 minutes, however I left mine on a little bit longer as I was loving the cooling feeling, after about 30 minutes, I looked in the mirror and it looked as though a slight skin had formed over the top and I was able to gently touch the cream without it coming off on my fingertips. The next instruction is to wash off with warm water, I did this in the shower, which I am glad I did as it took a little bit of effort to wash the cream off and I feel like if I had used a sink, I would have got water everywhere and would have made a huge mess. I was a bit disappointed with the results. My skin did not feel softer, or smoother and no longer felt refreshed, I have other masks that immediately make my skin feel softer to the touch and keeps the skin soothed for longer. I like the instant cooling sensation of the cream but I did not enjoy the after feeling, I have only tried this product once so maybe after regular use it may get better. As it stands I would recommend other maks to friends before I would recommend this one.

I've tried a lot of hydrating/recovery face masks. A LOT. And this one didn't stand out at all.

Yes, it felt nice and silky upon application. And I'm stoked that there is plenty of product to last a long time. But it really didn't do anything special.

I felt moderately moisturised after rinsing it off, but because you wash it off your face you ultimately sill have to apply your usual moisturiser afterwards. With sheet masks, you can pat any excess product into your skin and keep benefiting from it overnight.

The ingredients are outstanding, except for the addition of menthol. Menthol is usually added to give you a tingling sensation, making you think 'ooh this product must be working!' But if you've got sensitive skin, this will be really irritating.

Overall, I'm always thrilled to support NZ made brands, but I won't be repurchasing sadly.

I was lucky enough to be selected for the trial team. The mask comes in a white plastic tub which doesn't feel the most luxurious. It is white and has the texture of the thick moisturiser and is faintly rose-scented. It does moisturise but I feel it leaves a film which I'm not a huge fan of. I would continue using it, but probably won't repurchase.
