I got this cleanser as a freebie a couple of months ago and have been using it every so often since then.
As the name suggests, it really is a buttery, oily product which is good for dry skin.
At first I was not used to such an oily cleanser and found it a bit strange to use. I have to wipe it off very thoroughly to avoid oily residue.
However, it does do a good job of cleansing my face and removes my (minimal) makeup very well. I personally really love the botanical smell, but some may find it a little strong, and I do not think it'd be suitable for sensitive skin.
I like the fact that it comes with a cool little spatula so you don't need to dip your fingers in.
This was the first alternative cleanser I ever used. I was initially hooked on the smell of the product, probably why I purchased it. At first it took a white to get used to the oiliness of the product especially on your face once you have used it. For me it didn't feel clean, even though I knew my skin was. After I got used to that I really began to like it, it kept my skin really moisturised. I really loved the organic and natural ingredients in the formula. Nice to know you are putting natural products on your skin, not just a heap of harsh chemicals.
It's definitely a buttery formula, as once it is on your hands/face it softens and melts into your skin.
Best of all it is a New Zealand product!
Tips: Use a spatula to get the cleanser from the jar, it's much cleaner
