i purchased this for my partner because he has oily acne prone skin and i found that it works quite well at balancing the oil on his skin out. The smell is awful but its still amazing

Tips: Works better when its a little runny and goes with apple cider vinegar really well too.
Tell you what- this bad boy takes out all the impurities on my face! With Apple Cider vinegar, it almost fizzes and bubbles and spreads evenly over the face. Absolutely love it, and have already recommended it to 5 other friends. Love taking it over to a mates place for a "Mask date"
Tips: Highly recommend using Apple Cider vinegar instead of water- more effective and highly cleansing. Don't panic if you have lumps of clay in your mixture, it always happens to me!
This Aztec Indian Healing Clay Mask is AMAZING!!! You can mix this mask with water for an everyday deep cleansing mask but you can also mix this with Apple Cider Vinegar for a purifying, pore cleasnsing, deep down skin purging clean. This mask does tingle and warm up as it sits on the face so do not worry if that happens. It will also leave your face red after washing off but the redness fades within a few mins. I have and will continue to recommend this to my friends and family. I will also continue to use this and keep this in stock within my bathroom
Tips: It works best when mixed with apple cider vinegar
This face mask is intense, It really did what it said it would. Made my face a little red the first time as it said it would but literally felt so pure after taking it off and seeing extreme results.
Tips: I pair this with bio oil and use the mask to remove unwanted oils and impurities and then apply the bio-oil to replenish good oils back. Swear By It!
Bought this after watching the YouTube reviews and I must say it's a great product. It is a bit clumpy when mixing and takes alto of stirring to get a good consistancy. I smells like clay which is what it is. No funny fragrances. For me it takes a long time to dry and when it does if feels like concrete. I prefer to take if off before it fully dries out as it can be a little painfull. My results were great. I felt like it left my skin cleaner and with a more even skin tone. I use it once a week as it drys out my skin if used to often.
Tips: You will notice some redness after using this but It goes away after a few minutes
I absolutely love this clay and have been using it for years in a range of ways. I add it to my homemade bathbombs, toothpowder, hair and face masks, and armpit detoxes. The product comes as a powder that I usually mix with water, oil or apple cider vinegar. Super easy to use, just needs to be mixed into a creamy paste but make sure you don't use metal utensils or bowls to mix it. A little goes a long way so it lasts for ages. Its fragrance free and has no hidden nasties which I really like.
I love a good clay mask and have read so many rave reviews about this. I ended up paying $22 which is quite a lot more than buying it from overseas but I'm impatient and didn't want to wait.
It comes in a tub with a screw on lid. It is in powder form and you can either add water or apple cider vinegar. Pretty much every review I've read said it is clumpy with water so I only use with vinegar. It mixes up into a beautiful smooth mask. You don't need much at all, I don't measure it out I just tip a little powder in then add a few cap fulls of vinegar and then adjust accordingly. Just experiment to see what works best for your skin. It says not to use metal as it reacts with the clay, I use a plastic bowl and an old foundation brush to mix and apply to my face.
My skin is sensitive and dry so I was a bit worried when I applied this, however I got no burning at all. They say that you feel it pulsate but the first time it didn't pulsate so I thought it must have been too thin so next time I applied thicker, nope still don't get the pulsating! The third time I caked it on super thick and woohoo it pulsated, it isn't anything too out there, just a light sensation really. I leave this on for about 15-20 minutes. It dries hard! Your face feels super tight and you can't talk properly. I find it easier to jump in the shower as it's easier to remove and far less messy but a hot face cloth also works.
Afterwards my skin is red which they say is normal, I only do this at night so it's not a problem as it calms down while I'm in bed but for me it takes about an hour to calm down so be aware of this if you use during the day then need to go out. This does not give me any breakouts and if I have a spot it helps heal it super quick.
I absolutely love this mask. My skin looks clear and even and feels super smooth. It has not dried my skin out at all. The tub will last for ages so is great value for money. Give it a try!
so scored this off catchoftheday 2 for $29 + shipping. I was pretty excited as I had read some great reviews and articles about it.
The packaging is basic and at first it just seems like a sturdy tub of clay powder. I tried it out just basic mix with water at first... the sturdy tub of clay powder is now a pot of love and goodness!!
I experimented with the product, I quite like using it as a dry exfoliator before I shower. It works perfectly as an underarm (armpit) detox, an idea which was new to me but makes total sense and something I highly recommend trying out :) I am anaemic with extremely low zinc levels so my skin is pretty unpredictable, I've had no problems using this product which is awesome and it helps my skin heal which is a godsend. I did go through a bit of a purging stage at the beginning so If you're planning to try it out maybe do it when you have a few quiet days to yourself :)
Tips: Try using it in different ways, a hair mask, face mask, body exfoliator. There are lots of different recipes and mixes to experiment with which is great, I find mixing it with just water nice and gentle, a nice way to start off.
For my birthday I got an amazon gift card and ended up buying this... and it’s absolutely amazing!! As a skincare enthusiast, I definitely do not recommend using water instead of apple cider vinegar, it absolutely ruins it and after research it became apparent that anyone who had something bad to say about it on amazon was using this with water, or had dry skin (which with a drying clay mask is no good at all). Also, don’t use a metal bowl/spoon when mixing and applying this because it’ll deactivate the clay. Use a brush or wooden/plastic utensils.
Anyway, this is a mix it yourself mask, and sometimes it can be hard to get the right consistency, but once you do it settles on like a dream. I admit I can see how some people get annoyed with the smell, but after one use your nose gets used to it so it’s worth it in my opinion. The mask itself is absolutely amazing and always gives me the best results, the next day I always get compliments on how my skin is glowing, i look less red, etc. Helps my acne a whole bunch too, but if you get pimples then you need to be real careful and gentle when taking it off or its gonna tug at your skin barrier and cause irritation.
I would recommend this 100% however it is a lot of work to use it the right way.
Tips: Use Apple Cider Vinegar— not water!!!
With this product being a bit of an iHerb legend - I had to try it. It took me a while to get it as it is so popular it is regularly out of stock. I couldn't wait to try it once it arrived so I mixed the powder up with apple cider vinegar - I also tried plain water but it mixed up so much better with the vinegar. It really stinks with the vinegar- like sting your eyes stink! I packed it on and let it dry. It does pulse and it dries. It is difficult to remove after - best to just have a shower and soak it off. My face was very bright red afterwards which took a few hours to dissipate. My skin felt lovely and soft but the next day I got some whoppa pimples- big, blind, sore ones. I thought maybe it's bringing them to the surface etc so I kept using the mask but every time it makes me break out badly. I've seen some suggestions to mix it with avocado or honey so I might give that a go, I like the lush cosmetic warrior mask so I might try making my own version of that using the Aztec mask as the clay base and adding some egg, tea tree, garlic and honey perhaps? Not sure but on its own this mask doesn't seem too good for my normal skin.
