Love bio oil, love to use this as a moisturiser on my body as if you have dry skin it just soaks into your skin leaving it nice and moisturised, and this product is really affordable.
I used this when I was first pregnant with my first child it didn't stop or prevent strech marks from appearing.
Tips: However it did fade already existing strech marks from an violent purple to white after my pregnancy
I have really dry sensitive skin, i tried bio oil and was pretty skeptical as i had tried a few products, my skin just drinks it up, leaving it soft and its not too greasy ( though for other normal skin types it may be too oily) . I have many friends who swear by it for preventing stretch marks during pregnancy, and my brother used it on his large, dark, existing stretch marks and they definitely got lighter, but its not a full on cure.
Tips: Bio oil is quite pricey, you can def get cheaper oils and lotions that offer the same things
I used bio oil for a long time hoping it would get rid of my stretch marks and after a long period of time (1 year) it only slightly faded them. It smells lovely and makes my skin nice and soft. I think it's over priced for what it is and the affect it has on your skin. I use aargan oil instead and it's been working a lot better. It is a OK product with and average affect so I give Bio Oil a straight 3/5 for everything.
Tips: Experiment with other oils they do the same thing.
I unfortunately got chicken pox very late (15) so I got it quite serve. Once it passed I had terrible scars everywhere on my body, face, legs , arms, hands you name it. I found the bio oil did not work for me and now 3 years later I still have multiple scars left
I first bought this product years ago, after all the hype surrounding it as "the name" behind stretch mark fading and repair. I persisted using it over a year and to be honest, asides from being a very gently scented moisturising body oil, it did nothing for fading my stretch marks and/or scarring on my skin. Disappointing results all in all, and for that price, I'd rather use a fragrance based body lotion/cream. Now, I gotta start loving those stretch marks!
I got this product for the typical "pregnancy and strech mark prevention" Yes it did not stop my stretch marks, but it did keep my skin lush and happy. I used to bath several times a day while pregnant to relive my discomfort, I would place a few drops of bio oil in my bath and rub into my skin. It really did help in that area but I dont think people can believe any products that advise it stops stretch marks because they are going to happen.
I found that for how well known and pricey it is, it didn't really make a difference. There are others that I prefer and are cheaper
I used this through my first pregnancy after being told it would help against stretch marks forming. I applied it twice a day and spent a small fortune on it only to find that i still got covered with stretch marks. I still continued to use it in the hope it would help minimise the appearance of the marks but with no great results. An expensive, oily waste of time for me though i do know people who swear by it. Not a fan.
