I was really excited to try BioOil after my first child left me with a fair few stretchmarks. Sadly it didn't seem to make any difference to any of them whatsoever. Not to be discouraged I used it the entire time I was pregnant with my 2nd baby and although I will never know what would have happened had I not used it, I still got more stretchmarks. So in that respect I don't really think it does anything to help. I have discovered though, that it is a really nice oil to apply to my hands at night and keeps them really moisturised....

Bio oil is so underrated :) I use this on my post baby stretch marks and they have faded quite a lot But that was after a few months maybe 4 I love using a little on my hair to help out with moiture and a bit of shine and manageability I use as an oil cleanse and also full body moisturiser and for my lips This stuff is quite handy i love and always get when on sale a while back they wer $3.99 from paknsav so i got quite a few now they have gone up
it smells nice but i stopped use after applying it daily for a while and i didnt see it helping with my stretch marks
I had some stretch marks from gaining weight quickly and once I lost weight the stretch marks were of course permanent. This minimized the stretch marks and took the redness out of them so that I could tan a little bit and they didn't look so bad. Is obviously an oil so quite oily for a while on the skin and doesn't get on clothes but a small price to pay for a good result.
Wouldn't use again. Yes it has a pleasant smell, and is easy to apply. But I have stretch marks and a horrendous deep purple scar on my back and it didn't do me any justice. After 2 months of daily use, Bio Oil hasn't helped improve my scars or stretch marks. It might just be me, but I wont be using it again.
On discovering I was pregnant I began using bio oil twice daily over my belly. I really loved the fragrance and feel of it on my skin. It was effective in preventing stretch marks. I have since used it during four more pregnancies.
Tips: Be vigilant in applying twice daily
I've tried using bio oil for several months on existing stretch marks and scars. I didn't see any noticeable improvements in the marks and scars , though my skin was lovely and soft where I had been using it. I had also put the product into a squirt spray bottle to make it less messy to apply. Given the cost I was loathe to have any spill during application.
I stopped using the product on my scars and marks as it wasn't working on me.
i have tried Bio Oil a few times now to help with scaring and stretch marks. I didn't see any noticeable changes to the marks or scars, however i have known people to absolutely swear by this product to eliminate any unwanted marks and it has worked!
Tips: Try on yourself for a trial basis of about 2-4 weeks if you don't notice any changes this may not be the right product for you.
I tried using bio oil while pregnant with my first child. It didn't help AT ALL! im covered in stretch marks.. it didn't help prevent them or fade them. I didn't like the smell or the greasy oily feeling it left on me and my clothes and bedding. Will never use it again.
Didn't really do anything for my skin. Certainly didn't help with pregnancy stretch marks! I didn't really like the oily feeling of it, or the smell either. Personally I don't really see what makes it so special at all.. Wouldn't recommend it.
