I had heard great things about Bio-oil for fading stretch marks. I used it twice a day, every day until the bottle ran out and noticed no change. Obviously as it is an oil it is very oily, but I wish it would absorb better because it stayed so oily for a long time. Overall I wouldn't bother with it again.

Loved this. Used in my first pregnancy, found that while I did get a few stretch marks they were not bad at all. Also have used this on numerous abdominal surgery scars - quickly reduces the redness down and decreases the ugliness usually associated with scaring
I bought bio oil for my stretch marks but not impressed with the product. After application it feels greasy and doesn't completely absorb. After using for months, I still have stretch marks. The smell is good but that hardly makes up for the product that it actually is meant for. I know it has worked great on some people but this product is just not meant for me. I will probably try it again when I am prego, till then the peachy bottle has to rest in my cupboard for a while.
I used this on my belly during my first pregnancy, it didn't absorb nicely and left me feeling really oil and I still got stretch marks, I continued using it afterwards too and I don't think it helped reduce the stretch marks faster, it did make my skin beautifully soft though and has a nice smell.
I am not sure this helps with stretch marks but I put on a scar several times and the middles of it seemed to fade it does take a while to absorb which makes you think most of it is going to endup in your clothes the scent is not bad it can be a little pricey well it was when it first came out this is a popular product but i think it would be better if it absorbed into skin faster
I brought Bio Oil because I have stretch marks but it was always so hard to try and use constantly to and never get a result. I think it smells great but im always waiting for it to absorb before i even consider to put my clothes on... So after giving up on trying to reduce my stretch marks, i ended up getting some moles removed and the wounds split when stitches came out, so thought 'Why not try Bio Oil again', you know give it a second chance. Well that was short lived it made my scars so itchy I had to stop using. So no results second time around.
Tips: Use it for a solid 3 months, 2-3 times a day to try get a result.
The reason why i say it helped with anti-aging is because I started using this in my mid twenties for a very long time (maybe around 6 years) I used it instead of a moisturiser on my face. I would mainly apply it around my eye area where wrinkles would show the most, and I did not get any wrinkles at all! When i stopped using it when I was about 31 (my skin got more sensitive/oily during my pregnancy) I started noticing some wrinkles around my eyes after quite a while, so i truly think Bio Oil helped, or it might just be because I'm getting older;) I also put a few squirts of Bio Oil in my body lotions, especially during winter to help with dry skin, and during my pregnancy -I didn't get any stretch marks, I just kept my skin very moisturised the whole time!
Tips: Put a few squirts in your body lotions
All I have to say is you might as well go to the supermarket and buy canola oil for all the good this stuff does and it is so expensive! They tell you to slather it all over yourself at least twice a day (which I did) so this means you go through a bottle every couple of weeks. Marketing geniuses.
i started using bio-oil 5 years ago and i absolutely love it i use it on my stretch marks as i was kinda fat when i was little cause former stretched skin. My mom told m=me to use it and it does work but over a long period of time. I think that it also adds extra moisture onto my skin as its winter here in new zealand right now
I used Bio Oil through my 1st 2 pregnancies and found that it made my skin supple but really oily. I think it did help reduce my stretch mark appearance as i did not use it in my last 2 pregnancies and have noticed the difference that they have not faded as well as when i used it. I think it depends on your skin and the frequency in what you use it. I would say give it a try there is no harm in doing so.
