Bio Oil

I'm a big fan of body oil, but I wasn't overly impressed with this one. In all fairness, my sister had some success treating scars with this, but from research of the ingredients I'm not sure that Bio-oil would be any better than other body oils at treating scars. Certainly when I was pregnant my doctor said stretch marks are genetic and there is no product I could use to prevent them - despite the extensive Bio-oil advertising to the contrary.

Basically this oil is fine, and will help moisturise your skin and aid healing of scars, but I don't think it works any better than cheaper body oils.

I didn't see any reduction in scaring or stretch marks the only bonus was my skin was smooth and hydrated. But for the price and using it every day hoping to see results I was disappointed. I can get smooth and hydrated skin from moisturiser alone. I wouldn't re purchase this. I will occasionally use the one I already have though (as I got a few bottles) lol

I've seen a lot of reviews for after people already have scars etc that they want to get rid of. I on the other hand use it to heal up cracked skin so that it doesn't end up scarring. I get dermatitis on my hands and feet, and my skin can get very very dry. Bio oil helps it heal up quicker - don't get me wrong, it's not a miracle cure, and it is very expensive, so I use it very sparingly and only when my dermatitis gets really bad.

Personally Bio Oil didnt work for me as I was mainly using it for my face and I felt like it clogged up my pores and made me break out. I prefer to use rosehip oil.

I purchased this a while ago to use on my facial scars but it just doesn't work for me.

I would apply to my face every night, massaging into my skin with clean fingers but I just kept finding I would break out in the areas I was using it in. I would start using it, break out, stop using it then repeat this process over again. I was never able to use it long enough to see if it really was making a difference.

Perhaps on different parts of the body it works better but I have not had any luck with it!

If you have oily skin do not put this on your face. I repeat. Do not make my mistake. This stuff will not stick into your face it just leaves a sticky residue. I've used it for two months straight and my stretch marks on my bum have not changed. It actually feels like a mix of candle wax and butter, doesn't feel very good on my skin and doesn't do much. The only plus side I have to it is if you have very dry skin like my legs it'll hydrate them enough. But again its like using any other moisturiser not special and works average.

I'm not sure that I could really say this worked any particular miracles, so I can't say it 'does what it says'. However, I never took before and after photos and its hard to say in hindsight what was the natural healing process/fading process and what was due to the bio oil. HOWEVER - it works just as well as a body oil and makes skin silky smooth. So i would use it for that alone. But don't expect a miracle :(

I used this oil after my pregnancy thinking it would make all my stretch marks go away, but unfortunately it did not do what it said it would, for some reason a month after using this my stretch marks went a reddish color, so I stopped using this product. I still have my stretch marks, just not as bad as they were.

I used this when I was pregnant, and while I didnt end up getting any stretch marks, i got really itchy every time I used it. Not a bad product by any means, but I certainly wouldnt use it again.
