Bio Oil

I love it. I always have it. I travel with it. You can see me carrying this around if we are on a long trip or have an out-of-town flight. I mainly use this as my moisturiser. My skin suits better with this one after the Neutrogena Deep moisture fast abrosbing cream in a pot got discontinued, it was the only lotion-form suits me with my moisturising needs. After my stock of this had gone out, I tried using Bio-Oil. But for the scar remover claims, I cannot say that it had worked for me. Although I do not have that scarring-type-of-skin and usually do not get any wound that would lead to a scar, I wouldn't say it had blurred or removed scar for me.

Everyone always seems disappointed with this product. It claims to reduce scarring, stretch marks etc. but almost everyone gets fed up with non-existent results after a few weeks. I am here to tell you to stick it out...seriously. I picked up this product because I had bad scarring from getting some warts removed on my leg when I was younger. The scars were so obvious and I hated it so much, so because of Bio-Oils claims to reduce scars I bought it. I used it according to the directions twice daily. Their website does say that for scarring it needs to be used for 3 months before seeing results. This is true. So after 3 months I saw results, 3 and a half months later, the scars were completely gone. This is completely true! I think the 3 month thing puts people off, but if you wait those 3 months it 100% works. Perhaps I was lucky because the scars were fairly new, it doesn't work as well on older scars. But seriously if you have new scars or stretch marks with a recent pregnancy I would totally recommend this product. You really need to stick it out though for the minimum 3 months, because you won't see results before then. But take it from a real life experience, my scars have gone and I did nothing but apply bio oil in the way it was directed.

This product helped my stretch marks 100%. Applied twice daily (sometimes only once) they just disappeared. But after reading these reviews I would think twice about repurchasing if I had to.

I used this when I was preggie with my little munchkins and it gave really good results. The texture is quite greasy and you have to wash your hands abit to get rid of it, but I found that if I hadn't had used it, my stretch marks would be a lot worse.

I found bio oil great at the start, when it first was available. It did help with my slow healing scars and wounds, which healed faster and aren't as prominent on my skin to this day.

It was also pretty good rubbing into my scalp for when my hair was dry.

This is a good product it is better than baby oil as it does not leave the skin dry after washing it off, also does not leave an oily feeling after putting it on. although i must say that you tend to burn easily when out in the sun with using this product

This definitely worked for my scarring, but took half a year to do so. If you are impatient, i would look for other products. This is quite expensive in pharmacies but a bottle would last you a long time.

If you have the patience then this is the product for you!

It really works for stretch marks but you have to apply at least morning and night and massage the areas for at least 15min. Give it about six weeks before you will see a big improvement when it comes to the stretch marks. The really old ones wont disappear completely but will be less noticeable.

One good thing is that its a multi purpose product! Its good for everything from shaving to sun burns! I also use it as cuticle oil on my nails. Which just keeps them in sucha good shape and so healthy! When I had bleach blonde hair, I used to run some oil in the ends of my hair and it help so much to keep it conditioned.
