Tips: Use for a long time for better results and don't give up!
I am currently using this product, it has a lovely scent and feels nice and silky on my skin. so far I haven't seen any change to my stretch marks but this oil has worked on some scars that I have...it has started to lighten them, I can't understand why i have been able to notice a change in my scar and not my stretch marks but i am hopefully if I keep using this it may lighten then too. Bio Oil is quite expensive but a little goes along way being an oil it spreads quite far. as for the packaging it comes in different sized clear bottles, pretty average nothing special to the design.
Tips: apply a couple drops to your hand then apply to skin.
Confusing? Sorry.
I wouldn't use this product on its own as I didn't see any of the claimed benefits and it's expensive. It's greasy, non absorbing, and I've been using the same bottle for 6 - 10 months now.
But, I found when I mixed it with rosehip oil, some mixed essential oils it was great. I almost would say I used it as an active carrier oil for my concoction. It was an experiment to try and diminsh the stretch marks from my pregnancy.... And it worked really well. It softened my skin, faded my marks very quickly and improved the condition overall.
Tips: Great for stretch marks if mixed with a bit of rosehip oil etc..
I bought this oil as had a muscle injury that needed to be massaged - you can pick up a bottle if this from the warehouse at a very reasonable price, was the cheapest oil available.
I found it absorbs well into the skin, a little goes a long way and it's good to use as a massage oil. Although I didn't really like the smell.
Tips: Good value for money as a massage oil.
I Started using Bio Oil when pregnant with my first at age 34, after a shower just rubbed into to warm damp skin, I was expecting it to leave a greasy feel and take ages to absorb, but I couldn’t have been more wrong. It left my skin feeling smooth and almost Matt after just a few minutes of massaging on the desired areas. I even found it great in small amount on my face. Lovely product with a pleasant fragrance that won’t over power any of your other normal beauty products. Only complaint might be a better bottle to stop drips running down the side and leaving rings if your a little bit rushy After two pregnancy’s last being at age 37 and using this product I can happily say I have 0 stretch marks and will continue to use this product to leave skin silky smooth.
Tips: Take your time and work it in, less is more, and warm damp skin (straight after a shower is best)
Daily application seems to reduce the appearance and redness of scar tissue. Have also used on stretch marks with little success. Would certainly use again but is not a product I would rush out to buy if I ran out.
My mum first purchased this for me to try on some scars I had that I used to be very self conscious about and I've purchased it a couple of times since. Although I didn't notice a huge change it the appearance of my scars for a while, I did notice my skin becoming a lot softer and dry patches of skin seemed to dissipate. After around six months I noticed that the less prominent scars had pretty much completely faded to the point I could only see them when my skin was red from heat and all the dry patches had vanished. The scent of this product isn't by any means amazing and it does leave a greasy layer on your skin for a bit but if you persevere with use I feel it can be beneficial :)
Tips: I found other uses for this product such as applying a small amount to my hair when it was really dry and putting a few drops in a bath to add goodness to your skin
I decided to give Bio-oil a go during my pregnancy lathering my belly throughout and it did the trick! not a stretchmark in sight! Though I failed to remember the back of my legs. I loved the result but I'm not overly keen on the smell nor how greasy it is in comparison to other body oils I have chosen to use.
I had heard that Bio Oil did great things to reduce the appearance of stretch marks. Bio Oil is easy to use, it applies easily across large areas of affected skin. By comparison to rosehip oil, I found it had an overly oily and greasy consistency, often leaving marks on my clothes. I applied Bio to my hips daily for several weeks unitl I had run out. Over this period I notice little change to my stretch marks. I'm not sure if this is because I have had them for a long time, and my use of Bio Oil needed to be more sustained to make a difference.
Tips: I personally find Rosehip Oil better for reducing the appearance of strech marks!
bio oil is one of those things you have to stick with for results, i use it for my acne and its great i put it on everynight before bed, in the start it will make your face breakout, only because its lifting out all the dirt to the surface , stick with it and it could work for you.
