I stumbled across the Black Robin range on Oh Natural website and being NZ made at an affordable price I knew I was going to be giving this brand a go.
Black Robin do their packaging and names in such a quirky fun way what's not to love, the product is natural too with such a short list of ingredients so that's a win for me.
I use a spritz in the morning before the gym as a nice week wake up and then again at night after my shower before applying my night moisturiser/and or serum.
It sprays out evenly and has a really fresh scent, nothing particular being overpowering, it dries fast and no irritation to my sometimes sensitive skin.
I Love Black Robin and will continue to purchase their products knowing how good they are!
I won a voucher from Black Robin earlier in the year, and had heard good things about this product. I'm not really a toner person, it makes very little difference to my skincare regime if I use one or not. This calls itself a toner - I use it more to refresh and hydrate, especially in the morning, or after a long day/flight. it's also lovely to spritz on after i use a mask.
Black Robin products are characteristically beautifully packaged, and this is no exception. The brown glass bottle with a push-top spray cap, looks a little old-school functional, but the pretty green and pink label pulls it together nicely. The whole package vibes natural and recyclable.
The toner itself comes out as a mist - light and airy - one/two pumps is more than enough. The scent is mainly rose but the cucumber softens it and the neroli rounds it out.
This mist is ultra refreshing, and - while i'd say it's softening rather than hydrating - does have an effect on my face as well.
All in all, this lasts ages, feels nice, and serves a purpose, so it's a win! It only doesn't get full marks from me because I feel like I could the refreshing effect from anything cold sprayed onto my face (the experience just wouldn't be as pleasant) and the short-ish shelf life - mines set to expire less than a year after I got it. I know that that's to do with how natural it is but I'd rather buy a smaller bottle at half the price and use it faster if that's the case. So saying, I'm going to use this past 'expiry' anyway...
Tips: I keep mine in the fridge, which makes it ultra refreshing <3
