Dove Beauty Bar Review

I usually only use these bars for scrubbing feet and fingernails as I prefer body wash most of the time, however I sometimes use it with a loofah all over, especially at night because I find the scent calming and super clean. Though it is definitely less drying than a normal soap I do find it dries my skin out a bit more than a good body wash. It is super affordable and lasts for ages, and I also love the green tea version when it's around.

but I had a few packs of these lurking in the bathroom cupboard and as I'm trying to use up the products that I already own rather then buying more, I thought I would start using this.

I love the scent, it's clean smelling and also light. It's enough to make you feel like you are washing yourself with something but it won't overpower any perfumes that you would want to put on after.

It's long lasting, I've been using my bar for about a month and I still have just under half left. I keep mine in a small plastic container at the top of my shower so it doesn't get wet and waste away when not in use.

I have dry skin and although I still need to moisterise after my shower, it doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or overly dry. I also like that it is fine to use on any part of your body. I originally bought these to use on my face but only ended up using one bar and storing the rest away. I liked it on my face, I just started using something else instead!

Overall, I think this is a great soap. It is cheap, although more expensive for a bar variety but if you are comparing it to shower gels or face cleansers then I think it is good value.

I used this on my children when they were babies as I couldn't use any soap products on them as they had really sensitive skin and found this wonderful and protected their skin and also I can't use any soaps on my face as I get really bad eczema really bad and found this to work wonders

I have very sensitive skin. The dove bars are just body butter to me and dont dry my skin out like normal soaps do.

I love the smell and the fact that it doesnt react with my skin.

Im a daily user and use for my whole family. Im not to much a fan of a bar of soap however this is the only soap I have found that doesnt make my skin really dry in the winter time. I find it hydrating and its a great bonus to have a range of different kinds to choose from in the bars.

Great for the young to old. I find the packaging also isnt to bad on the eyes.

I am a shower gel or foam kind of girl so I don't usually purchase bars of soap as I find them very drying on my already dry and sensitive skin.

I decided to purchase this on a whim as it is advertised to be a "1/4 moisturising cream" and all that jazz so I thought I might actually like it...well I didn't.

The scent is nice light and fresh, it lathers well, feels nice and creamy and definitely cleans the skin, but, I still found this quite drying and found it left my skin feeling tight and dry after use, which isn't ideal.

I wouldn't recommend this to others with a similar skin type and definitely wont be repurchasing this in the future.

personally i hate dove beauty bars, dove advertises itself to be very hydrating and makes your skin soft. in my opinion this product is very drying and makes a barrier between your skin and water, personally i wuld never use this product agin results may be different for some.

My fondness for Dove Beauty Bar goes back to living at home many years ago and mum always having it on hand, so using it always brings back a certain nostalgia.

I tend to always have one of these lurking about in the bathroom, whether for use in the shower in lieu of body wash, as a basic cleanser for my face, or at the hand basin as an alternative to the hand wash.

I love how the light fragrance of the beauty bar, which is pleasant but not overpowering. Dove lathers easy, and I find that it gives a good clean without leaving the skin too 'tight' feeling like normal soap does. I tend to prefer more specialised cleansers for my face as I have acne-prone skin, but I like that Dove is gentle enough that it doesn't cause me to break out if I do end up cleansing with it. I also find that it's pretty good at clearing up body spots as well when they rear their unwanted heads.

If you're after soap that's gentle, not overly-scented and available at your local supermarket, I would recommend Dove and will continue to repurchase myself.

Dove beauty bar is probably the best soap around. I am not normally a big fan of Dove, I have had problems in the past with their moisturizing products - I don't find them very "moisturizing." But this is the one saving grace for Dove for me.

I find that the bar lathers up really well, it feels nourishing and not harsh leaving your skin dry like some soaps can feel. I even use it as a sneaky quick face wash when I'm feeling lazy in the shower and it definitely doesn't feel bad afterwards. Plus as far as soap goes it smells nice and creamy and not intensely floral and fruity like a lot of soaps can be. I don't have any skin irritations but this is one of the best feeling soaps, during and after use, I have ever used short of going to Lush.

This is the best soap product I have ever tried. It leaves my skin feeling clean and soft without drying it out like so many other soap products. My skin is also quite sensitive. but this doesn't irritate it at all.

It is slightly more expensive than other soaps out there, but I think it is worth it for that extra bit of luxury and i will continue to keep buying and using this product.

As much as I'm a bodywash and liquid soap gal sometimes in life we just need the comforts of a traditional block of soap and this is my go to! Leaves me skin lovely and soft. Doesn't have the nasty intense smell that a lot of other soap bars have. As a teenager I used it as a face soap after a recommendation and it was gentle and moisturizing and did a lot better job then the face products I was using. My face is far to sensitive now and I use something with a lower PH but would actually recommend as a facial soap as well. They don't call it a beauty bar for nothing ;)
