Dove Beauty Bar Review

This soap is a notch above the other ones out there as it has a very fresh scent and feels very moisturizing when applying. Often soaps strip the oils from your skin but I found the Dove bar retained some of the suppleness of my natural skin. My skin is naturally dry and some soaps irritate my hands - especially in the winter whereas the Dove bar was a refreshing change.

This is the only shower soap I use! With an exfoliating glove I use it on my face and body, it's what I have always done and works for me and my skin, cleans and moisturises feeling clean and fresh, skin is left feeling soft and clean

I've used Dove previously, but haven't for awhile. I finally got sick of my husband's Palmolive soap and how it was making my skin feel squeaky and dry so I bought the Shea Butter one.

Oh yes, no longer that horrible squeaky feeling! It lathers well, smells nice, and doesn't leave my sensitive skin feeling disgusting, scaly and itchy.

The only problem is it's more expensive than traditional soaps and now my husband has started using it too.

Even though this soap is advertised as a PH balanced, good for all skin type and gentler type of soap it just isn't especially if you have dry to combination skin.

It felt like I had taken a pair of bulldog clips and clamped my skin really tightly behind my ears after rinsing this soap off of my skin, even of my body whilst showering or in the bath this leaves my skin parched.

I have been using dove for years. Have tried shower gels etc but always go back to dove. I sometimes buy the sensitive one or the green one but usually the original bar. I do have a dove body wash in shower but still prefer the bar. I find it suits my skin & can find it 5 for $5 at the warehouse sometimes

I decided after the firsttime I had used this soap that this was the soap for me. It moisturisers and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. Beats the competitors easily I feel.

Dove is one of those brands that I trust. Their soap is cleansing (as it should be) as well as great for sensitive skin. The only thing I worry about is the price. When on a budget I've found that liquid soap goes further than soap bars. However, I've always got at least one bar under the sink to pull out when wanting that extra moisturizing shave, or for cleaning tattoos. Tattoos need to be washed about 3 times a day and you have to be very very careful not to irritate it - Dove soap is the perfect solution. Would highly recommend for that purpose.
