I use this every day and night on my face I use it when I wake up and it gives me a nice fresh feeling on my face I use it in the morning with water and rub it into my skin and then wash away and then at night I use my makeup remover to get rid of my makeup and then I use this and it just makes my face feel so nice its easy to put on it absorbs well. there is not much of a smell to it but that's fine with me. I really like how it comes in a big pump bottle and the price is an ok price for what it is. I have used other products on my face but this is probley the best.

Reviews
Whenever I use this cleanser it is because my skin has been feeling particularly sensitive or inflamed and Cetaphil always sees me through! I have been coming back to this cleanser for over five years now and it is my rock. Has a really light fragrance, soothing, creamy (without being thick) consistency and just feels comforting. Highly recommend to all skin types.
I started using this product on the recommendation of a friend after using multitudes of products to combat my bad skin. I have continued using this product for the last 4 or so years and have never had a problem with it! No it won't take your make up off if you have a foundation on but taking that off before washing will solve that problem. This always makes my skin feel really clean and not overly tight or oily.
Tips: Take your make-up off before washing with this product.
As someone with quite sensitive and bad skin I find it hard to find a good cleanser which doesn't irritate my skin. This was recommended to me by a beautician when I was getting a facial. It is a very gentle cleanser, definitely hasn't irritated my skin! Doesn't really have much of a scent except a clean smell . In turns off actually doing the job I think it works - I wash my face twice a day (AM/PM) and whilst I have been using it my skin has improved (although I am now taking anti-biotics so it is probably a combination of the two) It does make my skin feel very clean and none oily and quite smooth afterwards !
Tips: It is pretty poor at removing makeup! I use a facewipe first to remove all my makeup and then wash my face at least once with Cetaphil to get the rest of my makeup off. I wouldn't rely on this to remove your makeup on its own unless you are washing three times !
I was really disappointed with Cetaphil everyone claims to love it so I went all out and bought the largest pump bottle and I was pretty distraught after finding out how allergic I am to this so called 'hypoallergenic cleanser'. I also find the texture quite strange, its slimy kind of gel like (and doesn't foam which I appreciate) but it doesn't seem to remove makeup well at all and it doesn't completely wash off either - it leaves an almost tacky film behind which my skin seems to not like whatsoever and I broke out all over my face and neck in hives. Overall I would personally not recommend and my ultra sensitive skin prefers good old Ponds cold cream over this. Mind you I am also very allergic to another recommended product for us sensitive skin folks (Aqueous Cream) which is very weird as it is such a benign product.
Tips: Get a sample if you are ultra-sensitive before committing to a large bottle!
This is a staple cleanser! i often stray away to try new things but always come back to this. If you get the big container its pretty good value for money. perfect for all skin types, lovely consistency. The only issue i have is that sometimes i feel as if its too gentle to do anything and that its not actually working but it must be good because i always come back to it!
My flatmates all use this cleanser, some of whom had bad acne when they were younger, and rave about how gentle it is on the skin. It personally didnt work for me though, i found that i still had break outs on it, maybe it wasnt cleaning my skin enough. It works better then i first use a solution to take my make up off and then use it afterwards to cleanse my skin however it is not a product that i would by again.
I originally bought this for my teenagers to use as they had troublesome skin. I thought I'd try it and found it really gently on my skin. I found I only needed half a pump. Didn't leave my skin craving for moisturiser and my skin felt and looked clean. I always do a test by using another cleanser straight after and then seeing if the cotton wool has dirt on it - my skin was clean! My teenagers also said they like it as well as my husband.
Initially we could only get it from the chemist so was pleased to see it available at the supermarket and slightly cheaper. The pump bottle is handy to have in the shower.
Tips: Good for all ages
I bought this on recommendation from my nana who uses this as her daily cleanser (she has semi sensitive skin) so thought it would be worth giving a go. I have really sensitive skin which is on the dry side and prone to eczema and rashes/breakouts if my skin doesn’t agree with something. I was pleasantly surprised at the price, not a break the bank cleanser so was excited to give this a try. Packaging was nothing to write home about but to be honest I’m not that fussy on how my cleanser is bottled (of course I am always a sucker for a pretty bottle but it’s not a decider) as it hides under my bathroom sink. I used my coconut oil/rosehip oil mixture to remove my makeup first as this sais that it only removes light makeup so it won’t be any match for the benefit mascara I wear. I rinsed my face with water and then used the CETAPHIL cleanser worked into a lather, the pump was good and distributed enough product ( I hate it when pumps get stuck and you have to pump a couple of times and then end up with too much!). The cleanser itself was quite thin it felt a bit like a thin lotion, I rinsed off again with water and followed with moisturiser. At first I quite liked this it was gentle on my skin left it feeling clean and fresh but not stripped or anything and didn’t leave any residue. It also did get rid of or diminish my hormonal pimples that I get flare up and down all month so this was a really pleasant surprise for me. Unfortunately for me after a few more weeks of using this I found that it started to dry my skin out - It didn’t dry it out totally but enough that I stopped using it, I really don’t like anything that dries out my skin even an eensy bit. All in all I wouldn’t buy this again for me but I would probably still recommend friends to try it out as an option just not if they have really dry skin.
I used this product when I had bad acne as a teenager. I have sensitive skin so couldn't use any of the harsher products out there. Cetaphil is really gentle on the face and left it hydrated. This was the only thing that worked for me and kept my skin under control. Definitely recommend for those with problem skin!!
Tips: Doesn't lather that well but persevere it is worth it!
