Id heard so many people rave about this product, so a couple of weeks back I thought id try it. Amazing price! I think I paid like $8 for it, its so cheap. Because it's a lotion I just applied it with my bare hands and it was fine, didn't streak or anything.. But after an hour or two I was orange. This tan definitely smells like you've got fake tan on which sucks because who wants anyone to know they are wearing fake tan hah. Overall I wouldn't purchase this product again just because I think there are much better fake tans out there on the market

Dove make the best gradual tanner, in my opinion. It isn't strongly chemically scented, one bottle per season is more than enough, and it's inexpensive. I go very white (we're talking vampire white here) over winter and this always starts me back on my path to brown, even when the weather is terrible. It doesn't 'tan' you as such - you won't get that spray-tan effect...but if you're like me, you would rather build up a gentle tan a little at a time, and this product does that brilliantly. Added bonus? It's actually a decent lotion, even without the tanning component.
I've tried both the fair/medium, and the medium/dark - the darker one gets the result more quickly, so it really just depends what you're after :)
Tips: As with all tanning products, exfoliate first, wash your hands after, and don't get it on light coloured sheets or clothes! I usually put a beach towel on the sofa before I start with any tanning, just in case.
I buy this product regularly mainly as its fairly cheap and I can but a big bottle and it will last a while. Unfortunately it has that tell-tale fake tan smell... It does provide a golden glow, and is fairly streak free.
I love using this tanner pre summer I have extremely pastey white legs that really never seem to tan no matter what, so Dove Summer glow helps keep my white legs from blinding people :P
I like to apply after exfoliating and shaving and then apply every 2-3 days it's a lovley absorbant cream that is really moisturizing and has a nice scent. Within a few hours I can see it starting to work.
Like some of the other ladies I do have to exfoliate it off after a few applications and start again as it starts to look a little or little orabe
But for the price it's a great tanner
I use this product although I am fair skinned I purchased the darker skin type one and just did one application and in the morning / by evening the results were nice so I did not need to keep applying like I would if I had purchased the lighter skinned one as one application gave me a good tan look and so I got more bang for my buck. Skin is nice and hydrated but some times it can take a while to absorb and dry. The product has been around for years now and I have bought a few bottles on special or because they were having a promotion the product kept well and I prefer it to another brand that bought out the same kind of product. The product does have a smell but it is not bad. I have not tried heaps of self tanners but this would be a preference so far.
I have super pale skin - in fact mu legs look like they belong on a dead person! So I use this religiously nearing the end of spring to take he edge off and develop a good colour by the time bare legs and arms and required.
This is a bargain when on special at the supermaket (under $5!) and works so well. It doesnt go orange or smell like fake tan at all. The only problem I have with it is after using it for a while, it starts faking off my skin leaving darker patches, so I then have to exfoliate it all off and start fresh.
Moisturises well too, and leaves my skin soft and glowing.
Tips: Avoid overdoing ankles, elbows and belly buttons!
Have used this the last few years, find it great because it is subtle. Can usually get it for a bargain at the Supermarket. Other cheaper products I have tried have left my skin too orange. I do find that this ends up patchy on my knees and ankles if I don't exfoliate/moisturise these areas first
Tips: I find it takes 2 days for me to get the right coverage but if I apply on the 3rd day it does not look natural.
i already have an olive complexion, but you can never be too tan! although you can be too orange which if i used this for too long i felt like i did start to look orangy instead of having a more natural tan but all my other friends who have used it, it has look great so may just be my weird skin! but overall it is so affordable you cant go too wrong, just make sure you apply perfectly cause it isnt as forgiving as temporary tanning cream :P
For $7.99 i purchased Doves summer Glow gradual tan used it twice, and already my skin looked and felt amazing i was beach ready in one day! i had no problems with streaks or unwanted orange clusters on my dry spots. My only issue with it, was its after smell about n hr after application it had a lingering off smell on me that i couldn't get rid of because it was coming out of my pores and i did not want to risk streaks by showering so quickly afterwards. So yes the product is great but smell not so much .
Tips: Apply perfume on afterwards to hide that unfortunate smell.
I love this product as I am naturally very pale and find it somewhat difficult to tan. I also love this product because it is easy to apply and isn't streaky nor is it blotchy like other fake tans I have tried. I use it like a moisturiser on my legs almost everyday which leaves me with a nice colour all year round :)
Tips: If you're using this product daily, exfoliate about once a week to prevent a build up of colour
