I was lucky enough to get on the trial team for one of the Garnier Body Superfoods - the Avocado and Omega 6. I've been a fan of the Garnier moisturiser tubs for a while but had not seen this one. As always, they come in a handy-sized tub that lasts for ages and they always seem to live up to their promises of hydrated skin. The first things you notice are the beautiful, yet subtle, perfume of the cream and then the richness of the cream itself. Anything this rich and luxurious is bound to do the trick - and it does. My skin tends towards very dry and this version of the cream promises 48-hour hydration and hydration up to 10 layers deep. I wasn't able to gauge this part but it certainly felt like it was 10 layers deep worth of smooth and hydrated skin. It also lives up to its promise of fast-absorption, which is handy if you're in a hurry. Would I buy this again? You bet I would. It's value for money and really does live up to the promises, plus it has a 97% natural origin in terms of ingredients. It is also a vegan product which is great in so many ways.

Tips: Use frequently, especially after a shower or bath for the ultimate treat for your skin. It also comes with a QR code to scan, which is kind of cool if you really want to delve deep into how good this company is in terms of looking after the environment and more.
Firstly, I’ll confess that I didn’t moisturise my arms and legs one bit during this winter (yikes), so I was ready to test this new product on my poor dry skin!
I’ll start with the packaging, as Garnier products are usually a hit or miss in this department, in my opinion. I like the large 380ml size of the pot in and the packaging is clear and stands out. I normally prefer my body moisturisers in a pump bottle but this sturdy, attractive pot and the texture of the cream reminds me of yoghurt, and I kind of liked it!
The quality of the cream: the product claims it’s a 48h nourishing cream that hydrates up to 10 layers deep. Now I usually stay away from cream for ‘dry skin’ because I always imagine a thick, greasy cream that makes you want to wash your hands after application.
I was pleasantly surprised by this Body Superfood cream. It wasn’t super thick but not too light either. It has a velvety creamy texture and absorbed quickly like it promises, my poor dehydrated skin drank it up! It didn’t feel greasy on my legs and arms, and I applied quite generously. Shea butter is quite high up in the ingredients list for this cream so that’s a win for dry skin!
The scent was not too strong and pretty nice, the avocado part of the cream also reminds me of previous almond body creams and oils I’ve tried.
Overall, I was impressed with this body cream and will continue to use it regularly in the lead up to the summer season. I’m keen to try the watermelon gel cream in the same range too as the weather warms up.
Well done on this one, Garnier. I would recommend if you were like me and was so lazy with body creams over winter. Your skin deserves this. :)
Tips: It’s as easy as it gets, apply generously as needed to dry skin because it’s fast absorbing, so you can get on with your day without feeling greasy!
This comes in a decent sized tub and smells a cross between avocado and aloe vera, nice and fresh. The cream is white and feels as though its been whipped into meringue almost.
I used this on my hands, body and found it gentle enough to use on my face. There wasn't any irritation and my skin felt nicely moisturized. This is really nice and at a fair price though I have used another cream that is a bit richer. However it does feel nice to apply.
Tips: If you're looking for a good no frills body cream that isn't irritating give this a try.
I'm very picky with moisturisers so was happy to give this one a go. I use other Garnier products (cleansing water) so knew this brand would be good. It smells really nice without being too perfumery. Its thick but not cloggy so when applied it sinks in well. It did what it was supposed to do and i didn't need to use it daily as it did indeed do its job for 48 hours. Its a good sized pottle. A little goes a long way. I used all over except my face (as i have different products for that). If i had to be fussy it would be the packaging. It clearly shows what the product is which is great for a quick choice in the supermarket/chemist but i personally would prefer a more subtle look as I keep on my dressing table and it clashes with my other decor (again just me being fussy). I would use again
Already a fan of the Garnier Fructis Hair Food tubs which impart delightful fruity scents and luscious moisture on my hair, I was excited to see what the body version held in store for me.
The Garnier Body Superfood Avocado & Omega 6 has a light, whipped yoghurt consistency and quite a heavy scent which I couldn’t put my finger on (not avocado). It smooths on and absorbs beautifully and evenly into dry skin.
I love the recyclable plastic tub and being able to scoop out as much as I need with my hands rather than messing around with a squeeze or pump bottle. I’ve been using liberal amounts daily for the past 10 days, sometimes on skin still moist from the shower, other times my skin is dry.
The Garnier Body Superfood Avocado & Omega 6 had a vegan formula and contains an honest 97% natural ingredients (obviously as close to 100% as they can get it) and it leaves my skin feeling soft and silky up until my next shower and moisturiser round.
Claiming to moisturise 10 layers deep, as a supermarket product this provides serious bang for buck!
From the texture, to the scent, to the way it hydrated my skin all 10’s across the board! I was extremely surprised with this moisturiser, if you had covered the label I would have 100% guessed it was high end skincare. It left my skin smelling amazing, glowing & extremely moisturised. It felt nice and light yet hydrating, the subtle scent lingered for most of the day after using it in the morning and I really have noticed a difference in the hydration of my skin. Now Garnier isn’t normally a brand I would reach for but after trialling this product I will definitely be looking into any new products they continue to bring out. I love the fact it has omega in it, always makes it better to get extra goodies for your skin in your skincare! Also the fact that it’s 97% naturally derived automatically makes me want to reach for this before any other moisturiser I currently own.. how cool! I would definitely recommend this for anyone who has dry skin & doesn’t want a moisturiser with a strong scent.
Tips: Best to moisturise after a shower whilst your skin is still damp, easier for your body to absorb it.
This is a light, nourishing body cream the is fast absorbing & hydrating for dry skin with avocado & omega 6. Made with 97% natural ingredients & is vegan. It is easy to apply, glides on easily, is not greasy & has a light pleasant fragrance. After using for 1 week I have noticed my skin is not as dry as it usually is & feels a little softer. I had no reactions on my sensitive skin. The tub size is generous & will last for weeks when using every day. This body superfood is very affordable, priced at around $14- $15 for a 380ml tub. It is available at most major supermarkets & department stores making it easily accessible.
Tips: Use moderately as it goes along way. Use once to twice daily on dry skin.
Love, love, love this product!!! It's is so intensly moisturizing for my super dry skin! I work in the trades and on the road most days exposes to all the elements, so I get extremely dry skin, this product is amazing and hydrating, the only thing I didn't like was the smell.
Tips: Use this and you won't be disappointed!!!
Really lovely to use! My skin felt moisturised and nourished and the smell was nice too, not overly perfumed like some other brands. The cream is non greasy which is perfect and it absorbed really well into my skin. I really love the tub packaging as it means you can use every little bit of product and not waste any. Overall, I love this moisturiser and will be repurchasing.
Tips: Keeping this in the fridge over summer would be great to use on dry skin, after the beach.
The moment I opened the lid, I was hit with such a delicious almost edible scent. It was heaven. What's even more heaven, is having your skin feel as smooth as a baby instantly after applying this lush body moisturizer. And if you're like me, and forget to moisturizer daily, never fear, this body lotion leaves your skin suple and hydrated for a few days. So grab yourself a tub of this luscious, jar of hydrating heaven, you won't regret it!
Tips: Add this body lotion to your daily morning routine for best results.
