I received this from the Beauty Vault. I like the Dr. Hauschka brand so I was interested in giving this a try.
The shower cream comes in a white 150ml tube which stands on its cap. On the tube it says that the packaging is made from recycled materials, and that it is “free from synthetic fragrances, dyes and preservatives.” The cream itself is white and milky in texture. It feels moisturising on the skin. It lathers nicely without being too foamy, or not foamy enough, and washes off easily. My skin feels soft and moisturised after using it. The cream has a pleasant lemon and lemongrass scent. It is not too strong, but it is pleasing to smell.
Something to bear in mind when using this shower cream is that it opens from the centre of the cap. Although you can unscrew the cap, the easiest way to dispense the product is to turn the cap anti-clockwise and then to squeeze the tube. To close the lid you just turn it clockwise again. It is not immediately obvious that this is how the tube opens. I only realised because I read a review of the cream on here before trying it out for myself! The opening is covered by a sticker which you remove before using it. Although this is a novel way to dispense a product, it does make it a bit fiddly. You need two hands to open and close it in the shower, which is tricky when you have just dispensed shower cream into one hand! If you do not close the tube right away the product dribbles out the bottom because of gravity, which makes it much fiddlier than the flip tops lids I am used to for body washes.
Altogether a quite expensive, but very nicely scented moisturising body wash.
This product was in a beauty vault a while ago, but to took a while for me to start using it.
It comes in a soft tube which is apparently made from recycled plastic.
Firstly, it was a trick to get the product out as it turns out it squeezes through the lid. This annoyed me. I don't want to get in the bath or shower and have to figure out how to release product from a container. Not to harp on about it, but it really puts me off a product and a brand.
The product is a white creamy lotion, which wouldn't normally be my choice of texture for a body wash. It has a very high scent of mostly lemongrass which also doesn't appeal to me in a body wash. It's performance was ok. And it is expensive for a product of this type. I doubt I'll use much of it and wouldn't repurchase.
