I was disappointed with this lotion as I considered L'Occitane was a really good brand. I really liked the scent of this lotion which stayed around all day. What disappointed me was that the milk was too thin. It didn't seem to moisturize enough. I used it on my legs and arms. Also half through using it the bottle sprung a leak down one side so as you squeezed it out the top it also came out of the side as well. Messy. I think there's much better products.

L'Occitane Peony Body Milk Review
L'Occitane Peony Body Milk A moisturising lotion that perfumes and embellishes the skin. Enriched with grape seed oil and shea butter, this Beauty Milk moisturises and softens the skin. Its fluid and light texture quickly penetrates the skin, enveloping the body with a delicate flowery perfume of peonies.

Tips: Don't squeeze bottle but unscrew lid and tip it out. The plastic the bottle is made out of is too thin and can spring a leak!
I got this for my birthday present and before then I hadn't had much to do with L'occitane. I found the scent too strong for me and the moisturiser quite watery and hard to spread evenly across my legs. It was good for my 'at work' moisturiser for when i was desperate but even then I didnt like it.
The upside to it, is that it smelled good (in small doses).
The packaging is fine, it has the single side diped and push function but sometimes flicked milk back up at you when closing. The bottle is small but fat so is hard to hold naturally.
Just for the price of it, I just expected more from it.
This is one of my favourite products that L’Occitane have ever brought out in my opinion and its always on my wish list whenever I get my chance to get to a L’Occitane shop or duty free stall. Originally I tried this as part of a gift set that I was given one year for Christmas it was a peony bath set and included the body milk, hand cream, soap and bath product in a beautiful tin that I still have somewhere indoors, it’s just I love peonies, I grow them, cut them as fresh flowers and have a few other items that are peony scented.
So after falling madly in love with this body milk in its trial size it’s a firm favourite having had 2 full sized bottles of it in recent months (1, I brought on way back from England, the other was sent to me from my mother as part of my birthday present) anyway I waffled enough...
The best thing by far is the scent, it’s like I have rubbed peonies all over my body and it has a light lingering effect that means even with perfume on I can still smell faintly the peonies. Secondly the formula of the milk is just right in its pearly pinkness!!, not too oily but absorbent enough to quickly rub into dry skin and not leave greasy marks or shiny spots.
It doesn’t have the fanciest of bottles but the design is simple, timeless and elegant, it doesn’t intrude into your bathroom space all showy, but it’s clear plastic bottle with its label and silver top sits quite happily on the shelf, it’s in a generous bottle for its price, and a little of the formula goes a long way, this is not a product to slather on and having a clear bottle you can see where you are at and not run out unexpectedly (which is a huge bug bear for me personally).
Not the most affordable body milk but by far my favourite.
Tips: Honestly don't overuse the formula its quite fluidy but once in your fingertips it goes further, putting too much on can become a pain to get fully absorbed.
I received a generous 75 ml mini of this in a GWP from a L'occitane store. I've always thought it was an overpriced brand when looking at it in duty free. But it is worth checking out instore as I discovered they have amazing sale and GWPs.
This came in a hard plastic bottle which is quite hard to squeeze. I only noticed once I've finished it that the silver top does actually screw off (the ones on their smaller minis don't, making it impossible to get the last of the product out).Something I've noticed is that L'occitane also use Braille on their packaging and labels, which I've never come across on any other beauty products.
This smells amazing! It is a very strong floral which may be overpowering for some. It does have a sophistication and freshness to it though, this is no granny floral! It is definitely a fluid and not a cream but it comes out in blobs and isn't runny. Each blob is enough for one limb as it goes a lot further than you would think and absorbs instantly. It leaves my skin soft but not super moisturised. This is great for layering with the matching Peony perfume which was a mini in L'occitane's 2015 advent calendar.
I would definitely use this again if I got it in another GWP. I'm unlikely to purchase a full size myself though. It's quite pricey for a body lotion and due to its strong scent it can really only be used with other products from the same range.
