Ugh I am SO sad that I have to write this review. Parsley Porridge was like those gorgeous heels that are everything you want in a shoe, until they give you blisters, a twisted ankle, and you realise their practicality just doesn't live up to their aesthetics.
Basically, Parsley Porridge is a surprisingly amazing soap. From the name I was expecting one of Lush's more 'experimental' scents, but I was SO pleasantly surprised. The scent is light, fresh, feminine, and leaves the entire bathroom smelling amazing. The soap looks expensive and elegant on a soap dish, it lathers extremely well, and leaves the skin incredibly soft and nourished. Here's where the fairytale ends — this lil bar of goodness loses little bits of itself while you use it. The white/clear-coloured circles you see in the product image just break right off and go straight down the drain. After using this as our household hand soap for a week our drain was completely clogged, and my partner had to spend an hour clearing it all up.
The verdict is, this is everything I want in a soap. But as the fiancee said: "You can use this soap, just also be prepared to use half a bottle of Drano along with it."
