Linden Leaves Body Oil (all varieties) Review

A pure luxury oil that nourishes your skin. It’s lovely to use and has a light floral scent. I tend to use it when I feel very dry, not every day. Use sparingly, a little goes a long way. I dont use for massage very often, more just on dry skin.

I was lucky enough to be given this oil as a gift (the rose one). It makes a stunning gift - I will definitely be stealing that gift idea in the future!

It is quite pricey so I'm not sure I would have bought it myself, but now that I've tried it, I know a little goes a long way so I'm more likely to splash out.

The oil itself has a beautiful subtle, soothing smell and glides onto the skin really nicely. It absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling wonderfully soft.

I recently attended a Linden Leaves evening and was lucky enough to make one of these oils. I loved hearing the story behind the company and knowing that all the products are not tested on animals and contains no nasties. Also how amazing that these oils are all hand made with the freeze dried flowers!

I have been given this product about four times, and I have to say it is always received well. Mostly this is due to the fact that it isan't a product I would normally buy for myself due to the cost and the frequency of use. However, it is simply a beautiful oil. The fragrance is Devine. The presentation makes it look quite special, as it contains a flower or fruit piece immersed in oil, and you just know it's full of goodness. It isan't greasy, your skin absorbs it quite quickly and it fills the room with a faint fragrance of roses (in my case).

We were given this as a gift when we got married and booked the honeymoon suite. It's such a lovely scent with the rose and ylang ylang and it's not a greasy oil. It absorbs so well and leaves your skin so soft. I used it occasionally on my face overnight when it was really dry. It's quite expensive but quite worth it, especially for a valentines present or anniversary gift.

This oil is in a beautiful glass bottle and sitting inside it is a rose, the bottle has a nice pump top and easy to squirt this clear slightly yellow oil out. The sweet smell of rose and a ylang ylang are the first notes to hit me then it dies down to a sweet rose, this is a really nice fragrance. This is a really moisturising oil and it soaks in pretty quickly, so freshly out of the shower and the oil warmed up a bit in the palm of my hand and if my skin is damp this is easy to spread around. But dry skin and it just sucks in there and then and no spreading. I've used this on my face and neck as well as a body oil. This is a beautiful moisturising oil, I have put a couple of drops of this in as a bath oil and that's been great. I've found I've used it quite a bit as a face oil and putting a good amount on and just letting it sit on my skin at night that my skin looks more refreshed a little more elasticity in my skin. This is as natural and as organic as it can get, hand made not tested on animals and a NZ product and contains no preservatives, so that explains why it's pricey, but it's very nice and really makes my skin feel great. One of the best body oils I have used.

This oil smells amazing! I love rose scents and this has a very strong lovely rose scent. The fragrance stays on your skin and clothes for ages.

It is great for moisturizing and also makes a nice massage oil. I have also added it to the bath to give it a lovely smell.

It is a little pricey but a little goes a long way and it does last a long time.

This oil comes in very beautiful packaging, flowers inside the bottle and looks great in the bathroom. It has an adorable smell, so so yummy. I use it on my baby after bath and he smells so delicious. I use small amount as it is completely enough so this bottle will last me for a long time. Absorbs fast and is non greasy. I got this for free but if I could afford would definitely buy it as it really worth the money.

I went to the linden leaves well-being seminar held at the tannery here in CHCH. It was made up of talks, snacks, goodies bag and what I wanted most of all was to try all their products at once.. with the option to buy at a discount price. So needless to say I got some Christmas shopping done.

We were actually given this oil in the goodie bag so I didn’t pay for it and thank goodness.

I just can’t get past the price I wouldn’t pay that for a body oil.. not when there are many more cheaper versions out there.. I’m loving a Swisse one at the moment.

I admire their ethics and work that has gone into making this oil which accounts for the price and they admit this. The freeze drying of the flowers and oil extraction etc it adds up.. it’s NZ made and quality ingredients. So I guess for me it just doesn’t fit into my budget.

They recommend using it straight after a shower to replace that moisture loss. It is nice after a shower and I didn’t think I was using a lot to cover my limbs. But the smell for me was a bit too powerful and “not me” maybe a different scent would suit me more but I think I would prefer plain or unscented given some of their other scent options. It did feel like it was absorbed quickly. But my skin didn’t feel overly soft despite using this so maybe up how much product you use to get better results.

I have this problem with a few of their scent options in other products.. I’m just not a fan sadly and I really want to like them especially being a company that started in CHCH. I just feel it’s maybe best fitted for a different target audience than myself.

I was given this by a friend. I keep it next to the bed and make my hubby give me back rubs. The lavender smells beautiful and relaxes me. This is pure indulgence and I feel all my troubles lifting from me while my husband rubs the gorgeous oil into my back. It all rubs in well and doesn't leave any oily residue.
