I really liked this shower gel. The colouring was divine, the oranges and yellows, mixed with glitter, was gorgeous and reminded me of sunshine and just had a playful vibe to it. Along with the message, of showering to feel beautiful was really body positive which I loved. I also loved the idea of showering in glitter. The glitter was really pretty on the body however it didn't linger which I was kind of disappointed about. This is my main critique as I would have loved to come out the shower really sparkly, as there was glitter all through it so that was where it didn't live up to expectations. Additionally I didn't really smell like apricot and peach necessarily, however it did smell amazing. Along with the beautiful colours and smell, the shower gel had a nice feel, and a little did go a long way, which I often find with lush shower gels. Overall, I loved this product, along with loving the body positive message it showed and it's strong aesthetic.

Tips: Using a little, as it goes a long way. Recommended daily use as it's so gorgeous :)
This shower gel has been hanging out in my shower for awhile now and I'm currently on a drive to 'use up all the things'. I'm not sure why I don't reach for this one more often as it really does smell beautiful. I can't put my finger on any distinct smells - just floral. I guess it's like a summer garden full of flowers after it rains. It's pretty standard as Lush shower gels go - you don't need much, lathers up nicely, doesn't irritate skin but I still need moisturiser afterwards, etc. Nothing out of the ordinary here - pleasant enough but not one of my Lush favourites. I won't be using this one again as Lush have now discontinued it - I guess it didn't make a big impression on others either.
This was my first ever Lush product I didn't know what to expect the hype is real I'm BR so I acquired this from an online site cheaper then retail & I thought it was a good way for me to experience Lush. The bottle is pretty typical of Lush a simplementation bclear bottle with a flip top lid & black labeling. The contents showed thru a yellow/orange fluid which had me excited visually & it had signs of glitter thru the liquid. I was hopeful for the scent to intise me. Upon opening the lid I couldn't define what I was smelling & thought perhaps washing with water would concentrate & ecentuate the aroma of this beautiful shower wash. However once I used it there wasn't anything exciting it was a nice scent but nothing out of the ball park. Such a bummer because with the name Beautiful I envisioned a scent that would mic the name unfortunately not. Sadly dissapointed by the scent it still made me feel good being a LusH product & I didn't give up on the brand.
I'm currently using a 100ml bottle of this gel. I got it in the last boxing day sale in a gift pack. Out of all the shower gels I got at that time, this is the last one I tried. I'd opened it to sniff it, but it wasn't the most appealing to me.
This comes in standard lush shower gel packaging. A clear plastic bottle with a flip top lid and a black label. These are also labeled with a very clear best before and also who made this batch of gel.
The color of this is a pretty orange and there is lots of glitter in it (I don't notice glitter on me after a shower). The formula is nice and thick and you don't need a huge amount to get a good lather. The scent of this is different. It says it has apricot and peach but I can't really pinpoint either of those scents. It sort of smells slightly citrus with a powdery note too. It's not overly sweet, just a little hint. It does smell kind of bright and refreshing too. It's not really my sort of scent but I don't think it's really bad or anything. I think it's worth giving a sniff in store, or maybe just getting a gift pack you like with this in it.
This shower gel was in a gift pack that I bought for myself during the Boxing Day Sales. In a 100ml bottle the liquid inside is a gorgeous golden colour with a gold shimmer. So far, so good. Now I really don't like smelling like food, so to read that it was Apricot scented kind of put me off, but it also contains Myrhh, which I really like as a scent, so decided to give it a go. And I am so glad that I did. The Apricot to me isn't the usual fruity smell, sweet and kind of cloying, but light and fresh. The Myrhh isn't very strong but balances out the whole scent. The smell doesn't linger on your skin, but does leave a very faint trace. This is a classic example of why I love Lush. They really know what works when it comes to fragrance.
Tips: Buy it!
Thanks to my bff who is the biggest enabler ever, I fell in love with Lush Shower Gel last year and I haven't used anything else since. I currently have 3 on rotation and was excited to receive a sample of this from her because I had been enticed by the bright, bold yellow shade. Alas, this has disappointed me greatly... Thank goodness it was just a sample!
Scent: I'm sorry but this is just awful to me. It smells exactly like a giant garden store or the gardening section at The Warehouse. It's truly terrible, like a mix of every plant known to man, compost and dirt... It's very strong too, in your face and it tends to linger which wasn't appealing. Some people may really love this though, it's extremely floral and some people like that, so I suggest smelling it in store if possible or getting a sample first.
Product: So along with an offensive fragrance I also found the actual performance of this product substandard. Out of the three shower gels I have from Lush the texture is either a soft jelly gel or creamy, they lather easily and kind of melt into the skin. But Beautiful was very thick and gloopy feeling, it didn't melt down and lather like all my others did, instead it kind of just sat on the skin and I really had to work it in. Because of this texture difference it also didn't seem to rinse as easily which I hate in a soap/shower gel. Be warned, this also contains glitter. Thankfully it didn't transfer too much to the skin, I'm not still covered in sparkles the following day but it is there.
Overall: I think you can guess that this was a major disappointment for me. I am so glad I didn't buy the full size If you are interested just remember to give it a smell or try it out before committing!
Little golden bottle of shower gel full of glitter... I had high hopes that this would be a hit... anyone who knows me knows I love glitter and fruity sweetness... I was so sure I would like it I ordered two online... a risk I I know.
The packaging is they same generic shower gel container with flip cap, the label easy to read and when ordering online arrives with tape over the top to prevent spillage.
The shower gel itself it a golden yellow full of gold glitter, the consistency reminds me of semi cooked egg yolk (thick and jelly-like). It's scent is meant to be Peach & Myrrh with apricot but while it smells fruity it also has a an overpower scent of myrrh, which I found a bit much to start with. After a few uses it seemed more fruity than not but I would say the woody-ness of the myrrh kept distracting me away from full enjoyment. On a positive note it does lather extremely well.
The glitter doesn't linger either and it only looks pretty in the bottle.
Lush is life so let's just get that cleared up straight away hehe. I got this in a gift pack when they had the sales on xmas stock. I paid a mere $9.50 for the entire gift pack which included the 100g Beautiful shower gel, honey I washed the kids soap and a bath bomb I can't remember.
The bottle sticks to the familiar Lush look with the black lid with the flip top lid and the information sticker. I love that the bottle is always recycled. I love that it has a sticker of who made it and the date made and expiry. It gives it a personal touch rather than a generic date stamp. It shows me that care and attention goes in to every bottle.
The liquid literally looks like sun rays, or liquid gold. It is very deserving of the name 'Beautiful' because it is quite gorgeous in appearance. The formula is thick but clear. It squirts out easily without having to shake the bottle.
I use mine on a loofah glove to keep usage to a minimum. I find that just squirting it in my hand I tend to use more. The smell is a shock to the system. It's very invigorating and wakes you up if you are at all sleepy. It smells very intensely of citrus and fruits. Its definitely something that would work as a facial wash to wake you up. This on my skin feels good and lathers up nicely. I love bubbles so the fact that there are alot makes my heart happy. The smell I can't get past though, it's too in your face and can become sickening after so many uses.
I was hoping that despite the strong smell I would get some benefit on my skin. I find it very drying and it makes my dry patches sting. I would say that I have undiagnosed eczema and the citrus aggravates it. All in all if I have to use a double dipping of body lotion I would rather stick to other shower gels so no thank you!
Tips: Do not use if you are sensitive to cirtus
I received this in one of the Lush Christmas gift packs just as it was being released. It's not something I would normally purchase for myself just reading the description of it.
I received the 100ml bottle, Lush bottles are standard clear bottles with black flip top lids, the lids can be recycled at your local Lush shop.
This burnt yellow almost orange coloured shower gel is packed with fairy dust and leaves a slight trail of shimmer on your skin once dried. It lathers up nicely and doesn't strip your skin or leave it feeling dry which I love since I already have dry skin going on.
The scent kind of reminds me of lush's pot of gold shower jelly which was a LE jelly last Easter It's a toffee, citrus scent that is quite sweet. But not as strong as the pot of gold it doesn't really leave much of a scent on your skin afterwards either. It's Nice but it won't be something I will rush out and repurchase.
I picked this up in a haul a while back . Someone reccomeneded it to me and I purchased it. I’m a huge lush fan have been a fan for years . I just love it . They keep releasing new stuff but honestly go back to old school favourites .
Nothing special about packaging time they revamped their bottles . Consistency is fluid. Easy to apply lathers up well i. the shower. You get strong orange scent. It’s really strong .
Would I use it again probably not . I’m glad they didn’t bring it back . The name doesn’t suit the product . Lush please stay away from mint and citrus scents . Introduce a new scent.
