I was super excited when i heard that they turned the comforter bubble bar into a shower cream. I have been using it for a week and it's great. It keeps my skin slighty mosterised and makes it smell amazing. It lathers really well too. The scent to me is like a really sweet blackcurrant. The colour is a awesome hot purple/pinky colour.

Lush The Comforter Shower Cream Review
Lush The Comforter Shower Cream Review
A cuddle in a bottle
This berrylicious, reassuring shower cream brings to mind warm, familiar memories. The blend of sweet cassis absolute, uplifting bergamot and assuring cypress essential oils create a blackcurrant aroma. Lather up and you'll feel like you're being wrapped in a warm hug.

Tips: At $23.90 for 250ml it's a bit pricey Also I find that it doesn't last long, probably because it's a cream not gel so you need more
I first got my hands on this product when I purchased a gift box at Pintsize's recommendation - she said I had to smell this, and as soon as it was in stock I bought it. At the time this wasn't sold in bottles, so I knew I had to have it, and I have since bought a 500g bottle because it's so divine.
The Comforter shower cream is just that, a cream. It's luxuriously creamy, lathers well (with gloves or a loofah at least) and has the same distinct smell of the bubble bar by the same name. The cream is a gorgeous hot pinky/purpley color with white lustre throughout the bottle, which doesn't transfer as far as I'm aware, so glitter haters rejoice!
At first smell I was literally comforted. Just like the bubble bar, this claims to be a cuddle in a bottle and they have hit the nail on the head. The blackberry and vanilla infusion is the smell that stands out most, and then I'm hit with something deeper that I can't quite put my finger on. This is a sweet shower gel, but not so sickly sweet you feel like you need candy rehab. The smell reminds me of the taste of the blackberries and cream gummy candies, and it's pretty damn good.
This product also happens to be in the same scent family as Sweetie Pie shower jelly and Reindeer rock soap, so if you are missing those products during the year (Sweetie Pie is being discontinued and Reindeer Rock is strictly Christmas) then this should help you satisfy that craving. I love this shower cream and all it's pinky goodness. I use it if I need a pick me up and I really do feel a lot better. I will most definitely be repurchasing it!!
Wow, I love this so much. At first I was kind of thinking what is the fuss about but with Lush you really have to try each and every product before you judge it.
It smells amazing, it reminds me of something that I used to use when I was growing up, kind of like sweet marzipan mixed in with blackcurrant. This has to be my most favourite shower cream, and my first as I haven't tried a shower cream before.
It comes in its usual bottle with a flick lid for ease of use. Just pour out desired amount into your hands, a little does go a long way as it lathers up as you use it especially if using a loofah.
It left my skin smelling amazing and the creamy texture actually left my skin feeling soft. And the colour of this shower cream, is sooooo cool lol.
Definitely on my wishlist to buy again but a massive bottle this time I think as I can see myself using this everyday.
Just before Valentines day they had released The comforter and the Valentines day range, I made an effort to go to the Lush store just so I could smell everything before buying. It was a bad idea.
The Comforter was one of those products that if you smelled the fragrance, you will be purchasing it 100%. I had seen this product on their website and thought $35 was a ridiculous amount to pay for a 500ml shower gel, but my tune soon changed when I saw and smelt this beauty in store.
The Shower cream was very surprising to me, unlike a shower gel, the shower cream is quite runny. If youre used to squeezing your body wash into your hands, you better not try it with the shower cream, it will slip through the creases of your hands and into the drain. Lesson learned, always use a loofa or shower puff when using Shower cream. You also dont need to use a lot, it lathers beautifully into blackcurrant scented clouds.
I am very pleased with how moisturizing the Shower cream is, my skin has a smooth and hydrating feel to it. Not to mention a beautiful fragrance of Blackcurrant with what smells like marshmallows and sweets.
I have been using this since February and I have just over a quarter of a bottle left which I think is pretty good!
If I could put the word LOVE into a shower cream, it would be The comforter. After a busy day, a hot shower with The comforter is the perfect unwind before bed time, it makes me sleep on cloud 9.
I highly recommend this product, once you smell it, you will be hypnotized by its delicious aroma.
Tips: My children like to use this in their bath, it makes little pink bubbles in the bath.
I am a big fan of the comforter bubble bar, so I was pretty excited to be able to have that comforter scent in my shower too.
The scent is slightly different, but I think the essential comforter scent translates well across both shower cream and bubble bar. Colourwise it is a lovely pink and scentwise I would describe it as blackcurrent and other sweet things, those being things such as bergamot and cypress.
Now a shower cream is an interesting thing, it is said to cleanse/clean your body and then moisturise it. For the most part I think it did that. Although I did think consistancy-wise it was a bit thinner and less creamy than I would expect from a moisturiser type product.
But I loved it, it would be in my top 3 choices of shower creams and gels.
I found this in Lush in the UK before it was released in NZ. I was so amazed to see it I bought two 500ml bottles home with me. I really love the scent of The Comforter bubble bar and love that Lush turned this into a shower cream. The consistency of the shower cream is a bit more runny than a shower gel so don't squeeze the bottle too hard when you're getting it out or you'll go through it much quicker than usual. This soaps up really well, smells divine and my skin looks and feels great after using it. I'm so glad this has appeared in NZ stores I'm already using my second bottle!
This is my first time using Lush 'The Comforter' shower gel, after years of being a Snow Fairy fan and - I have to say - I think I'm switching teams. Snow Fairy is gorgeously girly but The Comforter is like a grown up version of the same product in many ways. Have you ever seen the movie '10 things I hate about you'? It's a fave of mine, and that was the comparison I drew to start with. Snow Fairy is Bianca... girly, sweet, thought to be too much by some but pretty and with hidden depths. The Comforter is Kat - more mature, darker, but with a hidden sweetness.
The Comforter Shower Cream comes in the signature Lush bottle; clear plastic with a black and white graphic font label featuring the Lush Logo. This is a bright, opaque berry pink - I'd actually love a lipstick in this shade! The cream is very very thin - it's a little hard to hold in your hand, so i would recommend a shower pouf here. It has a shimmery finish to it, and can be quite mesmerising in the shower in the early morning haha.
It lathers a little and gets pink EVERYWHERE...don't let the kids loose with this one. The pink does wash away even though it initially looks like it has stained skin and shower... there is a residue of pink left for a moment but that rinses off easily enough.
The scent is divine. It's Snow Fairy plus - a deeper, darker, sexier version of the bright pink in-your-face-ness of SF. The scent clings to skin and scents you beautifully. I'm in love.
I need this in my life more. What a discovery <3
Tips: like i said, use a pouf, or just a little at a time, and make sure you rinse the shower out! Other than that, it's gorgeous, glorious, and a must-have
As a bit of a Lush fan I was a teeny bit excited when I heard they were making this shower cream, I am a huge fan of the comforter bubble bar so to have this in liquid form for the shower was like a dream come true. I brought several bottles of this in the 100ml size bottles as I seem to have less and less room in the shower these days.
The Lush bottles are nothing fancy but do the trick, clear bottles with the black labels and black flip top lids. I also love the small stickers on the back saying who made them, when and when they are due to expire.
The colour of this shower cream is like magenta/fuchsia a nice deep bold pink, and of course it is loaded with lustre!! The scent of this is identical to the comforter bubble bar which is like a sweet, rich berry scent but yet creamy. The name “comforter” is the perfect name for this shower cream it is comforting and soothing. It is not sickly or overpowering though. It lathers up slightly and doesn’t dry your skin out leaving it feeling soft and clean and ever so slightly fragranced.
This is a delicious shower cream that I will be repurchasing lots of, it’s a relaxing kind of scent that is perfect day or night.
I was very excited to purchase this shower cream for the first time, the black currant scent is just too good and not overly sweet either. I have noticed that I do need to use a little bit more than what I do of the lush shower gels as this product is a shower cream, so it is also more moisturising. My skin feels gently cleansed and lightly moisturising, but the scent for me is the best part. I hope this product sticks around, as I'm definitely loving it!
This is one of Lush's new releases for the year and there was much excitement at its launch. Of course, being the Lush addict that I am, I raced to the store for a sniff and it fell straight into my basket (with a few other items so it wouldn't be lonely)
On first sniff, it really does feel like a hug in a bottle and instantly comforting. For me, it definitely "brings to mind warm, familiar memories" It is a really pure black currant smell and instantly reminds me of a bottle of cassis my grandad made me take a sniff of (not swig! Far too young then!)
This is runnier than Lush's shower 'gels' which was a bit unexpected. The name 'cream' is a bit misleading to me as I expect it to be thicker than the gel. It is a beautiful deep, dark pink colour. It does appear to separate sometimes between uses so give it a good shake before you use it. It's gentle on my skin and I love to pair it with Ro's Argan body conditioner.
I purchased this in the 100ml bottle but I will definitely be repurchasing in a larger size once I've made a dent in the rest of my Lush shower products.
