It was actually my partner who convinced me to buy this. Although on the pricey side it was totally worth it. What a luxury. Smells gorgeous and relaxing.

Lush Sultana of Soap Review
Lush Sultana of Soap Review
Revel in Sultana’s majesty, and have a wash with the royalty of soaps. It looks like a fancy Italian dessert; a giant nougat cake topped with succulent currants and apricots. Smooth a slice of our soft decadent soap all over your body for a creamy lather and the most dazzling bergamot and olibanum scent. Your skin will be delighted and you’ll be left softer and smelling like a fancy candy shop with a touch of fruity sweetness. If you weren’t invited to the wedding, at least you can brush shoulders with royalty in the shower.

Tips: Don't try the sultanas (hey it was a dare) they don't taste nice.
I went shopping with a friend and she was raving about this. So I grabbed a big chunk and brought it right away.
It looks good enough to eat! Sultanas are yummy in desserts and baking. It looks like nougat. It has a scent I don't no how to describe When it's dry.
Into the shower we go. When the soap is wet and you rub it over your body it's like milk. All creamy and rich. It's lovely. The chunky bits I liked at first thinking it much be exfoliating my skin. Now they annoy the heck out of me. I think they are just there for fun. No actual purpose.
The fragrance seems to change. I wonder if it's the bits inside as they come closer to the surface that change it. I don't find it fruity and I love love fruit smells.
My skin is dry and sensitive so I have to be careful what I use. This is fine. Leaves skin feeling nice. I still need to moisturize after though which is fine. It doesn't react which is great.
I really wanted to love this as I have heard many friends say how they love it. I'm just trying my best to use the chunk I have as quick as possible now.
On a recent trip to Lush I picked up the Blackberry Bath Bomb and the lady there also recommended this soap - Sultana of Soap which I picked up. I love that you can choose the size of piece that you want so you can spend as much or as little as you want. So this time I picked a piece for $11. I also need to mention that the customer service at Lush is fantastic. If you are unsure of what you want they are fantastic at helping you out and guiding you around the store, because it is a bit overwhelming at the start!
This scent of this is really hard for me to describe. It is sweet and spicy, a wee bit musky. I love it a lot. I have figured out that that is because of the bergamot, I love Earl Grey Tea which has bergamot in it too. The scent does stick around for a wee while when you are out of the shower, but it doesn't interfere with your perfume at all. When you pick this up you know that it is creamy right from the start, it just starts to melt in your fingers. This isn't your usual soap. Then when you use this it glides over your body, it foams slightly but not nearly as much as a 'normal' soap. My favourite thing about this is that when you wash it off leaves your skin feeling clean but not tight like it is overly clean. My body skin isn't particularly dry but I feel like this would be awesome if you did.
I really like this soap so I feel like I will repurchase in the future. But with Lush there are always so many to try so it might not be the first one on my list.
I was given this as a present last year and I was super excited about it because 1) It's Lush and 2) It's supposed to smell like sultanas. Okay so I was pretty disappointed with this one as it didn't really smell like sultanas at all. I'm not sure how sultanas are supposed to smell in a beauty product but I didn't expect it to smell like this. I can't really put my finger on the smell so to speak but I wasn't a huge fan, it smells more like its designed for the male species as its not floral its more of musky type smell. It also left my skin feeling super dry so if you have super dry sensitive skin like me, this is probably not going to be the one you want for putting more moisturise into your skin. I tried to love this soap but honestly just could not, so sad but they have so many other products in their range, I will stick to those instead.
This looks so yummy and they say looks like nougat and it does, so it has a base and looks like it has little bits off clear soap in that part and there's a middle and a top layer and it looks like theres dried fruit in the top bit, it's a pale oatmeal colour and has wee flecks off a little herb type thing in it and the fragrance oh so sweet, bergamot and lollies and spice all in one, it's amazing it even has currants in it and spicey olibanum its so divine. The spicey olibanum must give the fragrance it's special yumminess to the scent. This is a soft creamy soap that makes an amazing fluffy creamy lather to smother myself in and makes me feel clean and my skin feels soft using this and I feel I've drenched my senses in happiness. The fragrance does linger on my skin for a while and I end up with a nice warm feeling and smell yummy. I nearly dry this soap when I've used it as I don't want it wasting away. For a splash of indulgence and a little bit of joy this is one soap I always buy. I don't find I get any off the rejuvenating that's meant to happen but for a soap it's so nice. When I'm down its my treat and my pick me up. Around eight dollars you get a block about the size of a bar off lux soap it does last and so worth it.
Tips: Spoil yourself and indulge in some
Although I hadn't smelled this prior to purchase it, I bought this when Lush recently had a 50% off sale. I used that as a chance to try things I had yet to give a go and this was one of them.
I realise it probably sounds silly but I love that Lish soaps are a big, raw chunk. There is something really appealing to me about that. As mentioned above, this looks like a delicious desert with layers of goodness.
I love that you can see the layers in the soap. This is great at exfoliating your skin and definitely cleans you. After using it my skin feels super soft and clean. However, I am not a massive fan of the scent. It isn't bad or anything, it just isn't really what I like. It smells like a kind of natural smell that is pleasant but I prefer something more musky in general (although Lush's Snow Fairy is an exception).
This is a great soap and I love the way it makes my skin feel so I will use it up for that. I wouldn't purchase it again though, as there are other soaps from Lush that I prefer the scent of.
The caption says it all really. This soap smells AMAZING, and eatable and mmmm i just want to savor it. I got given this soap from a friend and I am in absoloute love with it. It is beautiful and delish and i can't rave about it enough.
It comes in a big ish bar which i cut in half so it didnt waste away in the shower and it has lasted me months already.. (the other half i keep in my underware drawer and it has scented them all to smell yum too)
This soap can be purchased from their website i have seen for people like me who don't live near a Lush.
Tips: It goes great paired with the argan body conditioner.. I smell tasty after my showers.. love love love
I have tried lots of lush soaps and it took me ages to try this one I think it's because I'm not overly fussed on having sultanas in my soap, to me it's like having sultanas in savoury food (casseroles, stews etc) I just don't get it! Yet love them in sweet food. Anyway I'm off track.
This soap is very soft. I ordered this online with some bath bombs and the bath bombs had left a big dent in the soap it is that soft. It is extremely creamy and rich it is definitely the most creamiest I've tried, It lathers up more than the other lush soaps I have tried too. The scent of this is a tricky little beast I get bergamot when it's dried before I've used it but when wet and on my skin it's more of an orange scent with something else I'm guessing it is the sultanas. Like all the lovely lush soaps they moisture your skin and don't strip your skin and leave you with that 'squeaky clean' soap feeling, you do of course have to moisture afterwards. The scent lingers for a few hours afterwards. It's nice but it's not my favourite because of the scent and the chunks tend to fall out and make a bit of a mess (and waste) unfortunately there are more soaps I would purchase before this one.
