Back in the 90s there was an amazing mail order company called Cosmetics to Go, who later became the Lush we all know and love today. This is one of the bath bombs that CTG used to do. Recently Lush announced that they would be discontinuing this one so I had to get it once more for old times sake.
This is still very much the same as it has always been. Just a simple, old school bath bomb. No big show or lots of glitter. It's a fast fizzer and quickly leaves the water a lovely violet colour. The name is quite misleading as it doesn't really smell of blackberry. It's more warming than fruity, thanks to the frankincense. I get more of a sherbet lollies smell than actual blackberry fruit. There is a wee surprise at the end but nothing like you get with more recent bombs.
As with all Lush bombs, it leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. I can get away with not moisturising afterwards but feel like my skin could still benefit from it. I wish Lush would reconsider discontinuing this. Not everyone wants or can use a glittery, jelly filled bomb and this bomb is perfect for those who want a simpler but still relaxing soak.
This does smell delicious and im totally impresssed that these are fully vegan products - animal friendly and great for the environment. However, very expensive for what they are! They smell Devine, look pretty in the bath for about a minute and then that’s it. No benefits to my skin or body whatsoever. I won’t be buying again
