Lush Black Stockings Body Tint Review

I am not one of those people that actively fake tan really or sit in the sun to get a glowing skin look. I prefer my lily whites most times because heat and myself don't go together very well. I couldn't however, turn down the opportunity to get a glowing canvas from the Lush Black Stocking bar. I got this as a RAOK from Lush which simply made my day and made me do an 'aaawww' moment.

The look of it is uber cute. It reminds me of a giant coffee bean. It smells gorgeous so leaves my skin smelling lovely. It is bronze in colour with shimmer throughout yusss! The only complaint if any I have is that it melts in my hand if I hold it for too long. It's almost like a big crayon. I use it to make my lily white legs look sunkissed and glowy. I love the fact that I can have a natural looking tan(ish) so I don't have to worry about wearing stockings.

I run the bar up my legs and rub it in with my hand. It's great that it's not like a rub in fake tan cream so I can't muck it up. If I get areas I miss I just fill it in without getting streaks. Because it just rubs off and doesn't soak in to my skin it makes it even easier to make sure it's even.

It lasts all day as long as I don't rub my legs. Even in the rain it tends to last so it must hace a waxy like ingredient that prevents it from washing off my body.

I like to use it on my face as a contour too. I run a line of it down my cheek where contour goes and blend it out to natural. It looks gorgeous on my face especially with the shimmer it has in it.

After being a Lush employee I learnt a lot of tips and tricks about their products. This for example, is not only great as an all over body tint, but PERFECT for a highlighter or even slight contour. Great product for summer to give you that perfect glow.

This is probably going to sound really bad and selfish but let me explain properly.... I had made a recent Lush order and inside the box this was sitting on top for a second I had a uh oh wrong order moment until I saw the random act of kindness sticker placed inside the box saying feel free to pass it forward for your own random act of kindness... Naughty Bex took one sniff through the cellophane and had to rip into it then and there!! I know it sounds bad but.... I do always buy something extra and do pass it on to employees and family because every girl I know loves to feel pampered so I will pass on another little lush something from my never ending lush stash phew now that I have confessed I can continue with the review.

What first drew me to this was the amazing scent through the cellophane, I could smell sweet cherries almost the same scent as the cherry jelly beans from those gourmet jelly bean confectioners.

This heart shaped melt is easy to hold and quickly swipe, I rubbed this down my arm first to try and it blended in so easily my skin is not pasty white and not beautifully tanned either. once all rubbed in i smell my arm and I can smell cinnamon and the cherry, this is the most perfect blend because you can smell both. I was worried it would be quite shimmery and I could possibly resemble a disco ball but it's enough to make you glow without drawing attention to yourself, Lush really have nailed it.

I was worried that this would rub off easily but once it's all nicely rubbed in, only a little bit came off onto a tissue I gently glided over my skin and then the rest lasted all day with only minor scrubbing in the shower to remove it. I am SO excited about this tint because I'm scared of fake tans and this is perfect for a day or night out. Highly recommend this to anyone

This is a great product! It comes in almost a heart shaped block that fits easily in the palm of your hand, making application very easy.

I use about 4 swipes on each leg and them rub it in, just like you would with moisturiser.

It leaves a nice soft shimmer/glow on the skin and it lasts most of the day.

It's great for fixing up patchy fake tan also, makes it a lot less noticable.

I have quite pale skin and thought it might be too dark but it's not.

It's easy to wash off in the shower too, you don't need to worry about streaking as this doesn't stain your skin like a fake tan at all.

The downside is that I don't particularly like the smell, however it doesn't linger for too long. It's similar to an aniseed smell.
